Rohan was avoiding my gaze, which meant something was definitely up. I'd have to ask him about it since Aarushi was already giving me the cold shoulder.

After dinner, I seized the opportunity and approached Rohan.

"Rohan!"

He turned around to look at me.

"Am I dreaming, or is this real?" He blinked his eyes and looked at me carefully.

"Done with your drama?"

"Did you need something?"

"So, you've finished college, right? What are you up to now? I mean, job-wise."

"You're asking me that?" He looked me up and down, as if sizing me up.

"Why? Can't I ask?"

"No, no, I didn't mean it that way. And yes, I've completed my degree. Now, I'm looking for a job in an HR department somewhere."

"Well, there's an opening at my place if you're interested," I offered casually.

"In your company? Seriously? As an intern directly at your company? Am I dreaming, or are you pulling a prank on me?"

"Do you think I'm joking?"

"Then why this sudden kindness?"

"You're right; nothing comes for free. But, just do one little thing for me, and I'll give you the job."

"What is it?"

"What's going on between you, Aarushi, and Rohit? I said, placing my hand on his shoulder."

"Nothing at all," he replied, stepping ahead into the lobby.

"Look, I know something's up. If Aarushi won't tell me, you better spill the beans, or I'll tell both of your girlfriends that you're double dating," I said with a smirk.

"Dude, please..."

"What's taking you so long to decide? And make sure you're honest, or you'll see what happens."

"Well...Bhabhi Maa is planning a surprise dance for you at the wedding," he stammered.

"That's a lie."

"Okay, okay. Bhabhi Maa is planning a romantic date night for you," he said, looking defeated.

A blush crept onto my face, though I still had my doubts. But this seemed more realistic.

"I'm feeling sleepy," he mumbled as he rushed to his room.

"Goodnight," I said as I walked away.
