The smell of food filled the chamber, making Geralt's stomach to grumble, Alicent had chuckle, filling up his plate and serving him. The thought of bringing up the rumour she had heard about his half sister, lingered her mind, but each time meet her gaze, she knew her husband suspected her thoughts, but refused to interfere, nor say a word, he just focused on reading Aegon his favourite stories.
The Witcher ate to his full and drank wine, kissed his wife and children, before heading for the Small Council meeting, after taking a clean bathe. By the time he was gone, Alicent filled her plate and ate to her fill, giving Aegon a lap of chicken to eat to his satisfaction, then went ahead to monitor nurses catering to her twins.
Not too long, the doors are opened revealing Queen Margaery, who strides in another red and black targaryen dress to see Helaena crying nonstop in her mother's arms.
"Waah! Waah!"
"Your Grace." The servants curtly bow.
"Waah! Waah!"
”Has she been fed?" Margarey carefully lifts her grand daughter out of Alicent's arms while the doors were shut quietly.
"Yes, she has." Alicent was tensed. "The nursemaids have tried everything, but she won't stop crying."
Queen Margarey smiles at her cousin. "It's alright, you've done your best as a mother..... Where's Aegon?" She peers around the room.
"With his Septon, studying. Your Grace.," Alicent responds as she watched Margaery
rock her baby in her arms. Cupping the back of Helaena's head, pressing her ear over her heart, humming a rhythmic lullaby to soothe the babe.Alicent watched and smiles as Helaena's cries slowed into sniffles. "Geralt use to do the same thing to make her stop." She counters.
The Queen chuckles. "Children are the only good, innocent creatures in this world. They're very pure at heart." She smiles down at Helaena, then averts her gaze back to Alicent. "Except maybe us. Women of green springs from the South."
Alicent blushed, trying to hide the flush on her cheeks as a soft smile paints her lips, then falls woefully at the sound of her other child.
"Waah! Waah!"
"Oh dear....Cirilla." Alicent calls breezily, rushing to pick up her baby from the cradle. The little witcher immediately kept quiet staring at her mother with bright gold yellow eyes.
"Ciri must be the quiet one." Queen Margarey mused., rocking Helaena.
"Indeed she is.... Your Grace. "Alicent giggles, rocking Cirilla. "I just hope the Gods grants you your utmost desires. One-day." She keenly says respectfully, hoping the Queen still has faith in conceiving, despite knowing she only exist without a womb.
The Queen glances at Alicent with a corner of her eye bitterly and returned her attention to Helaena with a pure smile. "So do still believe Rheanyra, might no longer virgin?" She asked.
The two southern women stood in awkward silence for a moment as the babes in their arms cooed. "Viserys has sent out Ser Harrold to find Daemon, he plans on questioning him, about the matter. So I'd venture you spoke with your father?" She searched her cousin face.
Swallowing hard, she responds. "I did speak with him." Alicent whispers. "He told me the same thing."
"Does your husband knows of this matter?"
"I haven't told Geralt....yet."
"The Witcher will surely find out, don't worry about him. Viserys will definitely tell him." Margaery assures rocking Helaena
