Prologue: The Vanishing

The night was unusually quiet. The stars, typically twinkling brightly in the vast sky, seemed dimmer, as if they were retreating into the darkness. The moon hung low, casting an eerie glow over the land below.

In his office, America sat hunched over a map, the soft light of a single lamp illuminating the room. Papers were scattered across the desk, and the usual confident grin on his face was absent. Something weighed heavily on his mind. He had been receiving strange messages—cryptic notes, unsettling calls, shadows of something sinister creeping closer.

But he wasn't one to be easily shaken. America had faced challenges before, threats both foreign and domestic, and had always emerged stronger. This time, however, felt different. There was no clear enemy, no battle lines drawn. Just an overwhelming sense of being watched, hunted.

A sudden chill ran down his spine. He looked up from the map, his blue eyes narrowing as he scanned the room. Everything was still, but the silence was deafening. He reached for his phone, intending to call for backup—maybe Canada, or even CSA. But before he could dial, the lights flickered, and the air around him grew heavy.

A shadow moved in the corner of the room, a figure emerging from the darkness. America tensed, his hand instinctively moving to the small flag pin on his lapel, a symbol of his strength and resilience. But as the figure stepped closer, his movements slowed, as if time itself was dragging him down.

The figure reached out, and America felt a cold hand grip his shoulder. A voice, low and menacing, whispered in his ear, "It's time."

And then, everything went black.

When the dawn broke the next morning, America's office was empty. The map lay untouched, the phone still resting beside it. The papers on the desk fluttered in the breeze from an open window, but there was no sign of the countryhuman who had occupied the room just hours before.

America was gone.

Hi peeps! I won't be leaving A/n(s) like this so you can enjoy it better.
