NY"I'm sorry but we've decided to go with another candidate who had more experience and qualifications." The representative spoke in a genuine regard.
"I understand thank you for your time." The blonde expressed before hanging up the phone.
Once the call ended she tossed the phone across her bed in frustration. This was the fourth job that had called to relay bad news within the last 2 days. The worst news was that she had enough left in her savings to pay her rent and utilities for 1 month but she had been denied FASFA. So she had to pay this semester of college out of pocket to which she didn't have.
The last thing she wanted was to take a gap year from schooling considering she was so close to graduating. She grew up in a Christian household but the Lord had received so many prayers from her within the past 2 months than he ever did throughout her lifetime existence.
The blonde took a few minutes and got her composure together instead of breaking down the way she truly wanted to. Some time passed and she got up to journal, documenting how she felt right now, expressed what she wanted for herself; praying that God would answer her prayers remembering how her mother would always say he may not come when you want him to but he will always come on time.
Speaking of her mother she could have asked her parents for help, but she knew her parents were barely makings ends meet as it was even if they didn't admit it. When her sister and herself got scholarships straight out of high school it was supposed to be their big break. No one knew she lost her academic scholarship last year due to falling sick. If her sister knew then consider her mother knowing and if her mother knew there was no way her father wouldn't know, they were a close knit family.
Her mother and father had sacrificed so much for them already she knew if it came down to it her mother would probably sell a limb if it meant she could help her daughter.
The vibration on the bed caused the young woman to jump from her thoughts rushing to the phone in hopes it was a job calling with good news.
A deep sigh emerged from her breath seeing her friend's contact name flash across the screen.
"What's up Ze?" Disappoint emerged from her voice.
"Girl don't what's up me! You're still on for tonight right? Don't make me look bad Bey." Her friend spoke in response.
"Zendaya I don't know anymore. I've got a lot going on right now and plus I'm still in my healing girl era at the moment. I just think it's too soon to be trying to find love again already." Bey let out in honesty.
"It's not looking for love Bey. It's just a blind date. Who knows you guys could even end up as great friends even if you don't like em in that way! I think your personalities really go well together." Zendaya explained
