6. Aloo Paratha

At night:

Ishika had just taken a shower and then got changed into her nightwear. She walked into the room. Abhimanyu was in his study discussing a few things with Armaan as he would be home and someone had to look at the work.

Ishika touches the chain tied around her neck and smiles. 

"Everything I have heard about is wrong. I heard he is cold, arrogant, entitled, and whatnot. He has been nothing but a warm and kind person to me."

Ishika heard the door opening and looked at the door. It was Radhika and Ishika got up. 

"I hope I am not disturbing you," 

Radhika asked. Radhika sat on the bed and signaled Ishika to sit with her. 

"What were you thinking baccha?"

"M..maa I was thinking.. that maybe I don't deserve Abhimanyu ji" 

Radhika lifted Ishika's chin with her fingers.

 "And why do you think that?" 

 Ishika slowly held Radhika's hand and she felt the warmth of mother. 

"Maa he is an all-rounder. Like he handled business at a very young age, he is a good cook too, and he is good looking too while I couldn't even make kheer today"

Radhika let out a small laugh and patted Ishika's cheeks 

"I know he is an all-round and best at everything he does but honey you made him enter the kitchen and help you. That guy who never stepped in the kitchen today helped his wife when you were struggling. You can't do 99% of things that he does but you can do 1% of things that he could never do. And with time you'll understand what I am trying to say"

Ishika frowned at Radhika

 "Now don't think much about it and go to bed" Radhika got up and left the room. 

"What did maa mean by that?"

Abhimanyu was in his study discussing a few things with Armaan. 

"Armaan handle these things for a few days. I need to stay home for some rituals. Maa took a promise from me"

Armaan nods understanding. 

"Bhai I know take it as a break from work.. I'll handle everything" 

Abhimanyu pats Armaan's shoulder and walks to the door. He stops in the middle and looks at Armaan.  

"Armaan, can you look into Ishika's life before marriage? I need every single detail about her"

"Why bhai do you have some doubts?" 

Armaan asked Abhimanyu, confused. There are things that only Abhimanyu had noticed. He is a sharp person and notices the tiniest details that a normal person cannot see.

 "Just do it I'll explain you later"

Armaan nods and sits down working on the presentation while Abhimanyu walks to his room to spend time with his cute wife. 

He didn't like skipping work but now he wanted to skip work just to spend time with his wife.

Abhimanyu walks into his room only to find Ishika already asleep. She didn't even cover herself. Abhimanyu chuckles and walks close to her.
