~ADAM'S POV~
...I felt weird waking up alone. After the last few weeks...months, I guess, waking up without someone in my arms was almost new to me.
I sat up in bed and wiped my hands across my face. I knew today was going to be busy, with Hell in a Cell happening, and everything that was bound to happen with Charlotte, Bayley, Becky, Sasha, Seth, and Drew, I was already tired, and I just woke up.
I groaned a little and got out of bed. I ran my hands through my hair, rubbing my face a little bit, and staring forward for a moment, trying to think of how to start this marathon of a day.
And...I came to the conclusion most others come to...
...Coffee.
I pulled on a pair of pants and walked out of the room, doing my best to be quiet about it, and just walked over to the kitchen area of this apartment to start making myself a nice hot coffee.
I set it all up and everything, just like I normally took it, and while the kettle was going, I just leaned back against the bench, trying to wake myself up as it boiled.
To my surprise though, I heard one of the doors open after a minute or two. I looked over at the source, being naturally curious, but...maybe I shouldn't have been...
Bayley stepped out of one of the bedrooms in a black silk robe, her eyes locking onto mine straight away. We both froze on the spot, just staring at each other for a few moments.
It was...an awkward little while of us looking at each other. I...wasn't sure what to do, up until we heard the kettle finally finish boiling.
I looked right at it for a second or two, before back at her. She seemed to do the same thing, but also seemed to...wait for me to proceed before she did anything.
"...morning." I greeted with a little nod, kicking off of the bench and stepping closer to the cup I was making for myself.
"...m-morning." She greeted back, gently closing the door behind herself and stepping further into the room. Instead of continuing to make my coffee, I reached up and grabbed another cup, looking over at her again.
"Usual?" I asked her, already knowing how she took it. She was surprised that I was offering, but nodded a bit, and I started making hers as well.
"...I'm surprised you even offered..." She told me as I was making it. I lightly turned my head to her, not quite looking at her, but letting her know I was paying attention to her.
"I mean...after what I did yesterday...I'm surprised you haven't broken up with me for it..." She explained to me, sounding sad as she spoke. I snickered a little bit and finished setting up the coffee, before grabbing the kettle.
"You're fine Bayley. I was...just shaken up." I told her, meaning it as I said it. She made a little whimpering noise, and I finished up with the coffees. It was quiet for a few more moments, so I picked up both cups and took them to the bench.
"Thanks..." She said as she took it from me. I nodded and took a sip of mine, letting out a little sigh of relief. She did the same, flashing me a quick smile, before looking down again.
"...I'm sorry, by the way..." She told me softly, so I looked at her again with a light hum. She looked back up at me again, holding her cup with both hands now.
"For what I did to you? How I made you feel? It...I should have known what it would do to you, and I am really, REALLY sorry." She apologised to me, looking into my eyes on and off as she spoke. I took a moment, just watching her after she finished. She seemed genuinely sorry, so I took another breath and nodded a bit.
