𝜗𝜚⋆˚HAMDAN'S POV :

I snatched the gift box, filled with nonsensical items, with a furrowed brow and a steely expression, striding towards the trembling Rania.

"This might just be someone playing a silly trick on you, nothing to worry about," I told her, still looking at the creepy toy and that note that made me really mad.

"No, it's not a prank!" she yelled, holding her hands to her ears like she was bothered by a lot of noise.

I went to grab her hands that were covering her ears, as if she was bothered by some noise in this quiet room.

Before I could reach her hands, she fell to the floor on her knees, fear clearly shown in her body language as she trembled and mumbled words.

Quickly, I bent down to reach her again.

"Is he back for revenge?" she asked, her voice trembling, lips quivering, and chin shaking.

" he who?" I calmly try to question back as I could see tears streaming down her face like waterfalls.

"He... It's him, I know it's him!" I could see her panicking, and in a quick motion, she pulled her legs towards her stomach and hugged them tightly.

"Rania, calm down!" I reached my palm towards her face, wiping the sweat beads off her forehead with the back of my hand and gently running my fingers through her hair.

"Hamdan, save me," her body trembling as she grabbed my hand, holding it tightly, clutching it close to her, unwilling to let go. Her tears streamed down her cheek, falling onto my hand and sliding down my arm.

"That's what I'm here for, tell me what's wrong, calm down. Breathe, breathe," I said, making her take long, deep breaths to help her calm down.

"Throw it away, please," she cried, still holding onto my hand against her chest, her whole body trembling.

Since i couldn't move, I tossed the toy behind my back where she wouldn't be able to see it again.

"He's back for my life, he will kill me," she mumbled to herself, and I gazed into her eyes.

They felt hollow, as if she was physically present but mentally absent.

Her eyes, once captivating with their spellbinding grey hues, now seemed lifeless, devoid of the usual enchantment.

The grey tones were fading, lacking the magic that used to captivate me, they were just tear-filled, lifeless orbs.
