"Where is Lord Corlys? He should be here to receive the King." Lord Lyonel yelled as the door opened

"Welcome to High Tide, Your Grace." Laena Velaryon greeted us and smiled.

"What is the meaning of this, Lady Laena? Is this how House Velaryon greets its King?" Lord Lyonel questioned.

"My father has just returned from his long journey, and he has hastened to the Hall of Nine to await Your Grace's arrival." Laena smiled as she looked at her aunt.

"Lord Lyonel, do not fret. Lady Laena has greeted us with respect and a warm smile." Alicendria smiled at his brother's hand as he sent her an apologetic smile.

"Let's just get on with it," the King said as he walked down the corridor, leaving Laena and Alicendria behind.

"Oh, my sweetheart," Alicendria said, hugging her niece, whom she hadn't seen in years.

"I have missed you. You've grown like the young woman you are now. Oh, I'm proud," Alicendria smiled.

"I have missed you too, Aunt Aly," Laena said as Ser Farris called her.

"My apologies for the bother, Princess. But the king has asked for your presence," Ser Farris said as he bowed to Lady Laena.

"Of course." Alicendria smiled.

"I shall talk to you later, my sweetheart," Alicendria said as she hugged Laena once again and walked out with Ser Farris.
