"Sir, these are the cases filed by civilians and later dismissed due to the reason of 'no concrete evidence'. And also sir, on the way here I went through some files and shockingly almost one third of these cases have the mayor and minister as accused. But sir, all those cases accusing those two disappeared into thin air," Jamie said handing over the file to Amril.
Amril got the file on his hand. He stood still with the file for a minute before he said, " let's arrange the people here by the rank. Whoever has more cases and has more frightening position, goes first" and everyone started rummaging the papers.
After two hours
"Sir, I guess everyone is tiered and to keep us going can u share the detail you said you'll share tonight," Raul said.
"Okay. This is basically our theory. Both commissioner and mine. It may be baseless but this is all we have right now. Our minister, A.K.A the first victim of the connective case has clean records. Everyone in the town knows that right. But as a shocking revelation he has been accused of sexual assault by his personal aid. She was later ripped of her title and news spread that 'she was an opposition party's spy who tried to seduce him but failed so she made a baseless accusation'. Nevertheless, neither she nor her family was harmed anyway after this. I later looked into it. Not only her but two months back his driver was accused as a convict of rape case. Quite brutal one at that. That person supposedly raped an eight-year-old child in a nasty way. But the driver up to this date denies that accusation. In addition, yesterday night after I got a call from the second victim's wife. She asked me to look into someone who lately accused her husband of malicious behavior towards her. The victim's wife said that her husband must've been targeted for revenge purpose.
So after all these information we both have reached a conclusion. That, the serial killings taking place right now, this is just a beginning of the killer's big plan. The convicts are the people who we may find dead after today... the murders, are the retribution according to the killer. You all must have heard about ZODIAC but now the killer we are dealing with, is not a serial killer psychopath, but a person who thinks that this world needs a change. If you ask me, this time we may not be fighting 'for' justice but fighting 'against' justice," Amril said.
As he completed his theory the whole room fell silent. It was like the silence when you hear a very good motivational speech, which will tire out after a day or two. Everyone present in the room were in their own world with their own theories. Each had different reaction towards his theory. Not everyone thought Amril was right. But that's human nature.
"Its getting late. Its best if everyone retire for the day. lets continue tomorrow. I've also asked someone to send everyone on the team, every single files regarding this case on everyone's work mail. Do check when you are free. so, until tomorrow guys," Amril said.
