I opened my eyes slowly. It looked like I slept off the other time.

The wet napkin is still on my forehead.

I got up slowly. I felt a bit tired like I had been working. But aside from that, I was fine.

My stomach rumbled suddenly and my eyes dilated. I'm so hungry. Maybe that's why I'm feeling so tired.

Cakes were on the table. I got up and rushed towards it. I pushed them inside my mouth.

I'm so hungry!

I stopped suddenly. Do I really have a witch’s power? I mean if truly I'm a powerful witch, then I must have power.

I'm not like my mother. So, I will.

But what kind of power do I have?

On cue, I raised my hand but stopped almost immediately.

I'm starting to act like I'm insane.

Chair!

I turned my head suddenly, towards the sofa and saw it approaching on its own.

My eyes widened with shock when it stopped just a few feet away from me. It was as if I was the one that controlled it.

Now, this is interesting!

I need to figure out what my powers are really about.

And I need to do that before I go back to Xavier's palace.

I pull off Xavier's coat and grab my clothes instead. I put it on and rushed out of the house.

Xavier is not around. And now that my sense of smell is intact, I can easily trace wherever he is so I can avoid him.

He must not know about my powers, not yet.

I took a walk and soon made it a run. I ran so fast, away from the shelter. When I was sure I was far away, I stopped.

I found myself amid trees. That makes it very nice.

I swallowed harder and looked at the trees, even though I had no idea what I was supposed to do with with them.

After a few minutes of staring, the branches broke apart suddenly, frightening me.

That's Telekinesis!

Hard arms grabbed me suddenly and pushed me away from where I was standing.

The scent of cedar engulfed me suddenly. I looked up, at where I was and I saw that several branches had dropped at the spot.

If I was still there, I would have been hit.

I veered away from him and helped myself up.

The stranger does the same and dusts his trousers. “You have to be careful out here, miss,” he muttered as he continued to get rid of the dirt that was stuck to his trousers.

I didn't respond and instead continued to stare at him.

He finally stopped and looked up at me. His face was something that should have been described with the word_handsome.

He had high cheekbones just like Xavier but I can confidently say Xavier is more handsome. He's tall, like 6ft and he looked strong in the clothes he's wearing.

“I don't know why the trees are falling like that,” he said sarcastically and his lips curved into a smile. “Who am I here with?” he stretched out his big hand and waited.

I regarded him for a moment, “Thank you but you don't need to know me,” I muttered, turned, and walked away without another word. He didn't follow me but I could feel him stare at him so long until I was out of sight.

He looked creepy. Besides, this is neither Alpha Xavier's nor my father's territory. I can't be sure if the people I see here can be trustworthy.

And I'm not even in the mood to make friends.

“Where did you go?” Xavier attacked me the moment I walked inside. He was sitting and scribbling something on the paper.

I released a sigh. “I needed the fresh air,” I lied.

He nodded once. “That's fine. Rick should be here anytime from now. So, you have to be prepared. There are new clothes for you to change into,” he explained.

I nodded once and walked closer.

I took the clothes on the chair and turned to leave but I stopped immediately. “I hope you can find her soon because I would like to leave as soon as possible,” I muttered and stepped into the bathroom.

Xavier didn't say anything or maybe he had suddenly lost his will too. He has been acting strange recently, anyway.

I took a long bath, one that felt like I hadn't taken for so long. I felt brand new to be sincere. I've never felt so new.

And with my newfound power, it felt like I was reborn.

I stepped into the room an hour later, fully clothed

Xavier was changed as well. He was wearing a fur coat as well, which matched the fur coat I was also putting on. It looked like it was something he did on purpose.

His back was to me and it looked like he was talking to someone.

I scent another different mixture of peppermint.

“We will step out soon,” Xavier assured and turned to look at me, just in time for me to see Rick step out.

He hesitated, and I could feel his eyes all over me, giving me scrutiny.

“You are done?”

I nodded once. “I am.”

“Let's go then,” he muttered, turned, and walked out of the room.

I followed quickly. I stepped out to see a lot of his men. Was this supposed to be a grand entry?

Xavier was waiting for me by the horse.

I moved closer to him swiftly. He held me up and got in behind me.

“I can ride _,” I said quickly, shocking myself as well.

“What? But you can't. The last time_”

“I can ride,” I said quickly, cutting through whatever he had to say. “If I'm truly supposed to act like Gwen to Elixir, then I must ride. Besides, I've seen how you ride. I can manage myself,” I assured him.

He hesitated, contemplating. “I wouldn't want you to meet the same tragic fall you met the first time you tried it,” he complained in a calm voice.

“I won't!” I said strongly.

He nodded once in understanding and got down.

Good! I think I like it now.

I pulled the rope slightly and kicked the horse without waiting for others. The horse responded and started forward.

“Gwen!” Xavier called behind me but I kicked the horse harder, allowing it to increase its speed.
