BACK TO SCHOOL BONFIRE MADNESS

BRIAR Miller's room was bathed in the soft glow of the morning sun, creating an intimate warmth that enveloped her and Tyler Lockwood. It was the first day back at school, a day usually filled with the excitement of new beginnings. But for them, the allure of their shared moment was far more captivating.

As Briar leaned closer, she could feel the anticipation thickening the air between them. Tyler's breath hitched as her fingers trailed delicately over his chest, her touch light but electric. She caught his gaze, and a playful smirk danced on her lips.

"Are you ready?" she teased, wrapping her fingers around his waist and pulling him closer.

His response was a low chuckle that sent a thrill down her spine. "You know I am," he replied, a hint of mischief in his eyes.

Briar moved with a boldness that surprised even her. She pressed her lips against his, igniting a fire that had been simmering for weeks. Their kisses deepened, igniting a craving within her that was impossible to ignore. With practiced ease, she let her hands roam, exploring the sculpted lines of his body, feeling the warmth radiating from him.

As she lowered herself, the world outside faded away, her focus narrowing to the sheer intensity of the moment. With every brush of her lips, she could sense the urgency in him, the way he responded to her every move.

But suddenly, the soft sound of footsteps echoed in the hallway. Briar's heart raced, a wave of panic washing over her. "Briar?" Her mother's voice called out, oblivious to the chaos inside the room.

Briar quickly glanced at Tyler, their eyes wide with shock. "Hide!" she whispered sharply, her heart pounding.

He barely had time to comply, slipping under the bed in a swift motion just as the doorknob turned. Briar scrambled to gather herself, trying to appear composed.

The door swung open, revealing her mother with a bright smile. "Good morning! Are you ready for your first day back?" she asked, blissfully unaware of the storm brewing just beneath the surface.

"Yeah, just... give me a minute!" Briar replied, forcing a smile and suppressing the rising tide of adrenaline.

As her mother stood there, her gaze drifted around the room. Briar held her breath, praying she wouldn't notice the palpable tension that lingered in the air or the fact that Tyler was concealed just feet away.

"Okay, but don't keep your friends waiting, I think Tyler is already here to pick you up, his car is out front!" her mom said as she turned to leave. Briar let out a long breath she hadn't realized she was holding, heart still racing.
