Lorenzo

I pace back and forth in my living room, my mind racing with thoughts of Eva's safety. Every step I take, every tick of the clock, feels like an eternity. I'm consumed by worry and guilt. I should have done more to protect her. I should have been more vigilant.

I think back to our wedding day, just a few months ago when we were leaving for Italy. Ivan's words still echo in my head: "If my sister gets harmed in any way, mental or physical, I'll kill you, bastard without even giving a second thought about the consequences. And i mean it. " I knew then that he meant every word. And now, I fear that I've failed him, failed Eva, and failed myself.

I hear the doorbell ring, and my heart sinks. I know it's Eva's family. I take a deep breath, preparing myself for the confrontation. I know I'll be facing Ivan's anger, and I don't blame him. I deserve it.

As I open the door, Ivan's eyes blaze with fury. His face is red, his fists clenched. "Where is she?" he growls, his voice low and menacing.

I shake my head, feeling a wave of shame wash over me. "I don't know," I admit. "I've been trying to find out, but..."

Ivan's fist connects with my jaw, sending me stumbling back. I feel a surge of pain, it makes me furious but I don't react. Because I know I deserve it.

"Wtf do you meaning you don't know? You're supposed to protect her!" Ivan yells, his voice echoing off the walls. "You're supposed to keep her safe!"

Eva's father grabs Ivan, holding him back. "Not now, Ivan," he says firmly. "We need to work together to find Eva."

I nod, rubbing my jaw. "I know," I say. "I'll do everything I can to find her."

But deep down, I know I'll never forgive myself if anything happens to Eva. I've never felt this way about anyone before. She's become my everything, and I've failed her.

I stand outside my house, surrounded by my men,Dante,Alexander and Ivan besides me, and a sense of unease. "Tell me what happened that night," I demand, my eyes scanning the them .

Dino, my head of security, steps forward. "Capo, the men guarding outside the house were killed silently. They used a gun silencer."

I nod, my mind racing. "Go on."

Dino hesitates before continuing. "Whoever did this had the card needed to open the gate. And...and one of our own men must have betrayed us, given them the card."

Ivan's eyes narrow. "What do you mean?"

Dino swallows hard. "The killers knew the passcode to the front door. I don't know how, but they did. They moved like professionals, took out our men without making a sound."

Eva's father's face turns red with anger. "How could this happen, Lorenzo? You're supposed to have the best security!"

I take a deep breath, trying to remain calm. "I know, I know. We'll get to the bottom of this. But first, we need to find Eva."

I turn to my men. "I want a full investigation. I want to know who betrayed us and how they managed to get past our security. I want Eva found, alive and unharmed."

My men nod, determination etched on their faces. We will find Eva, no matter what it takes.

I turn to Dino. "Get me the list of people who had access to the gate and the main door. I want to know who could have betrayed us."

Dino nods and hands me a list of names. I start with him, my eyes locked on his.

"Dino, you're the head of security. You're responsible for making sure this doesn't happen. Did you have anything to do with Eva's kidnapping?"
