The next morning was quiet, which I was grateful for, I don't know if it was because of the movie we watched or just my minds way of trying to find the truth but I had the worst nightmares last night. It lead to me not getting the best sleep especially when I had to replay that horrid scene over and over. Though last night wasn't the first night I've had that same nightmare, it's been reoccurring almost every night. There are nights that I wake up with a excruciating pain in my leg, though that's something I'm probably going to have to live with for the rest of my life.

I had just finished taking a shower, dressed, and was sitting on my bed, when I heard a knock on my door. Taylor popped her head in with a smile before she entered, she seemed very chipper this morning. She took a seat next to me before she explained that the reason she'd came in was because the doctors office had called. She told me what the doctor had told her, I was healing far better than they had thought I would especially with how bad the injuries were. I still had to go to physical therapy once a week, but they said that I could return to school. Taylor patted my back softly, she told me that she already spoke to my teachers. I'll be going back on Monday, seeing as today I got up later than usual and tomorrow's Friday, Taylor thought it'd be best if I got a couple more days rest before being toss back into school.

Before she left me to my thoughts she grabbed the last bit of work I'd been assigned and took then with her, I laid back against my mattress looking up at the ceiling. What has changed since I've been gone, well besides me I mean, will everything be normal or will everything be different. I sighed as I rolled to my side reaching for my phone, I hadn't checked any of my social media accounts since I got my phone. I didn't feel the need too but it was also more than that, I didn't want to see all the things people might have posted on my page or sent me. I was just now starting to sort myself out, I didn't want to be swallowed up by my grief. I had been hoping that Jay might message me or something, it's dumb I know, but he's so confusing though. I couldn't make heads or tails of his reactions and what did he mean last night...

After hours of just laying on my bed I decided that I would get out of the house for a bit, the physical therapist did want me to try walking at least a couple miles a week. I slid myphone into my back pocket before grabbing my headphones, as I descended the stairs Taylor was heading up them. I informed her of my plan to take a walk to the end of the road and back, she looked at me for a long moment before smiling. She said that if I was sure but she did tell me to be home by six and if I got tired to just call. I nodded before I put in my headphones as I made my way outside, the sunshine beating against my face.

The street was empty no cars passing or even parked on the side, most of the neighbors were probably still at work or school. There were a couple house with cars in the driveway but no one was outside, though I couldn't see them I could feel their eyes on me. The few people that were home, peaking out their windows as I walked by. It had annoyed me at first but now I know their just curious, though it's no less rude. I've taken walks like this a couple times since I've gotten this brace, alway slow paced and only as far as I felt I could go. Today I was determined to make it to the end of the road, I would have to get use to being on my feet seeing as I'll have to make my way to and from classes.

I had my music turned up just enough to hear it well but still be aware of my surroundings, I hadn't really paid much attention to the time before I left. I thought it was earlier then it actually was, I was over halfway when I heard something but when I pulled out one of my ear buds... nothing. I shook my head before continuing that was until I felt a hand on my shoulder, I nearly screamed as I twisted around.

"Ow! Seriously Kasey what are you doing!" Jax held his fingers which must have got caught on my shirt, which in turn twisted his fingers too. I pulled out both my ear buds before I jabbed a pointed finger at him, he had been the one who scared me so he had no reason to be acting like this. "I called you name numerous times but apparently you didn't hear me, damn that hurts! You nearly broke my fingers, how would I play ball if I broke my fingers?"
