The skies above King's Landing were painted in shades of pink and orange as the sun began its descent. Two dragons soared high above the city, their wings cutting through the air with a sound like distant thunder.

Daerion leaned forward on Aegarax's back, feeling the rush of wind against his face, the thrill of flight coursing through his veins. Aegarax, his emerald scales gleaming in the dying light, let out a triumphant roar as they dipped lower, skimming just above the rooftops.

"Come on, Daena! Try to keep up!" Daerion called out with a grin, glancing back at his sister.

Daena was right behind him, her hands gripping the reins tightly as her dragon kept pace with Aegarax. Her face was a mix of concentration and exhilaration, her silver hair whipping around her face.

She urged her dragon forward. They surged ahead with a burst of speed, pulling alongside Aegarax. Daerion's grin widened as they flew in perfect sync, their dragons' wings beating rhythmically as they cut through the sky.

"You're not as fast as you think, Daerion!" Daena shouted over the wind, a playful glint in her eyes.

"We'll see about that!" Daerion challenged, and with a quick command, Aegarax banked sharply to the right, circling the Grand Sept.

Daena followed suit, her dragon mirroring the movement with ease. They spiralled around the grand dome, the city below a blur of lights and movement. The people of King's Landing looked up in awe, their eyes wide as they watched the two Targaryens and their dragons dance across the sky.

Daena couldn't help but smile, the exhilaration of the flight washing over her. She felt the powerful muscles of her dragon beneath her, the heat of his body warming her through her clothes. For a moment, all the worries of court, all the expectations, melted away.

Up here, it was just her, Daerion, and their dragons.

They flew over the Red Keep, the sprawling fortress bathed in the golden light of dusk. Daena looked down, spotting the tiny figures of people moving about in the courtyards and along the walls. It all seemed so distant, so small, from up here.

She exchanged a glance with Daerion, and without a word, they both steered their dragons toward the Dragonpit.

The massive structure loomed ahead, its dark, imposing shape silhouetted against the evening sky. The two dragons circled above it once before descending, their shadows sweeping across the ground like spectres.

Aegarax landed first, his talons digging into the earth as he folded his wings with a satisfied snarl. Daerion slid off his back, patting the dragon's neck affectionately.

Daena landed beside them, her dragon touching down with a graceful thud. She dismounted carefully, her feet hitting the ground lightly. As she approached her dragon, she placed a hand on his snout, feeling the warmth of his breath against her palm. His deep blue-black scales shimmered in the fading light, his massive form radiating power and majesty.
