The weekend comes to an end, when the Monday morning sprouts by my early alarm for school. I fit myself in the proper attire, brush my hair into a ponytail and after slipping my feet into black moccasins, I travel down the stairs. At the table, I see my breakfast covered by a plate with the milk in the glass, also covered.
Mom makes me a breakfast and rests back to sleep until two more hours. Then she gets dressed, gathers up attitude in a glossy, professional look and closes the door of the house to leave for business work.
I eat my breakfast, and since mom is resting in the room, I don't say bye to anyone and lonely head out the house. My bus is waiting a block away, and I catch it before it becomes late and bus leaves me too-alone.
My beginning of the Monday in school slightly goes drowsy. I less likely pay attention in my classes. Then after fourth period, the lunch period arrives and as usual I am impatient to meet Julia. I haven't seen her since the last week's Friday.
In the hallway I catch her walking out of the Science class-active. Perhaps she did an experiment. I go and tap on her shoulder from the back.
She turns around and says, "Hey, Beth."
"Hey," I reply. "Where are you going without me? I thought you would be waiting outside my class."
We talk while walking together to the cafeteria.
"Sorry. You know we did this experiment with earthworm. They were disgusting and some girls called it, aww so cute." Julia tells me her experience.
"If they are that cute that why don't they sleep with them. It will look more cute." I say, sarcastically. I personally don't like insects or any sort of squiggly looking animals that brings shivers of disgust.
The cafeteria is starting to fill up, while the last period's group of students are still emptying out. We sat at a different table because somebody already took over our usual two seat table. They were two guys, one was bulky, with red chubby cheeks seemingly blushed all the time and other one was skinny, opposite of the first one. They were playing UNO cards and were possessed by the tough competition. Their focus was wholly at the cards they held in their hands.
We moved away at the other one that nobody had yet thought to take over. Later, we went out at the playground for the recess. This time me and Julia strolled around, and talked.
"You know today is Sam's birthday. I want to do something for him but I don't know what." Julia said. "Last time I had bought him a toy car and by now he had taken out its wheel and had totally killed it. What a torture."
"Then I guess giving him a toy isn't a good option." I advised. "How about something to eat like a treat."
"I think that sounds like a good idea. What if I bake a cake."
"Perfect."
When later in the day we were dismissed from school, Julia invited me to come over to her house. I didn't hesitate to say, yes. We caught into our school bus and it drive us to my neighborhood. Instead of carrying myself home. I rode on to my feet to Julia's home. It seemed awkward, taking a different path after pulling out from the bus. I began thinking that I was lost to my way home. The far we reached into the streets and the distinct styles of home approach along the stroll, I felt being dumped in a slighter different world than I lived in.
The houses were formally smaller comparing it to my house. My house appeared more immense and wealthy type. Over here the houses were lined up next to each other closely, with mini front yards or lawn and the garbage bin was standing outside every of them. There were wire poles, planted at every bit of distances from one another.
