The first day at the Yamazawa household was surprisingly normal. Mic, or rather, Hizashi-sensei, was a lot more down-to-earth at home. His place was cozy, and for a moment, I almost felt like a normal teenager staying over at a friend's house.

But that was Day 1.

Day 2: The Slip 'n Slide Incident

It was supposed to be a quiet morning. I was getting a glass of water when the kitchen floor suddenly became a slippery death trap. I didn't even see the spill, but I sure felt it when I went flying across the room, landing hard and knocking myself out cold.

When I woke up, Recovery Girl was there, sighing heavily as she healed my newly broken ribs.

Recovery Girl: Try to be more careful, Midoriya.

Trust me, I'm trying.

Day 3: The Lightning Rod

I was out in the yard, trying to clear my head, when a freak thunderstorm rolled in out of nowhere. The skies darkened, and before I knew it, a bolt of lightning struck the metal bench I was sitting on. The shock knocked me out instantly.

I came to in the living room, once again under Recovery Girl's care. Mic was pacing the room, looking more worried than ever.

Mic: I think we'll keep you indoors from now on.

Good idea.

Really good idea.

Day 4: The Falling Bookcase

By now, I was starting to get paranoid. Every step felt like a potential disaster waiting to happen. And I wasn't wrong. That afternoon, I was just walking through the living room when the enormous bookcase decided it was time to take a nosedive. I didn't even have time to react before it collapsed on top of me.

Another blackout, another session with Recovery Girl.

I think I'm starting to see a pattern here.

Day 5: The Boiling Water Incident

Hizashi-sensei was cooking dinner, and I was helping set the table when the pot of boiling water on the stove suddenly exploded. How does boiling water even explode? I have no idea. But the scalding water hit me full force, and that was lights out.

By the time I woke up, Recovery Girl was sitting next to me, looking more tired than I'd ever seen her.

Recovery Girl: Midoriya... you're really testing my limits here.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the universe is testing mine too.

Especially my patience.

Day 6: The Exploding TV

This time, I was just watching TV, trying to relax, when the screen suddenly sparked and exploded. The blast threw me back into the wall, and, you guessed it, I was out like a light again.

When I woke up, Hizashi-sensei was sitting by my bed, a worried frown on his face.

Mic: We're almost through the week, Midoriya. Hang in there. Power Loader's almost done.

I really hope so, because I don't know how much more of this I can take.

Day 7: The Ceiling Fan Finale

The final day. I was trying to be as cautious as possible, sticking to the safest parts of the house. But even that didn't help. The ceiling fan in my room decided to detach itself and crash down on me while I was lying on the bed. It knocked me out cold, and the next thing I knew, I was waking up with Recovery Girl's tired face hovering over me.

Recovery Girl: Midoriya... you've managed to survive this week by some miracle. Let's hope that bracelet works.

Please, let it work. I'm not sure how much more of this I can survive.

By the end of the week, I was exhausted, bruised, and more than ready for that quirk cancellation bracelet. The Yamazawa household had been kind, but I could tell even they were relieved when Power Loader finally arrived with the finished bracelet.

If it's not helping, I might have to start seriously questioning my life choices.
