“So what will it be, little moth~” The Arachne leaned in close enough for me to feel his breath fan across my neck, as my heart pounded in my ears.

as I felt his fangs graze the skin of my neck I snapped out of it and quickly pushed against his chest. of course he didn't budge in the slightest and I ended up just falling back on the web. “n-no! I can't! I can't do that!”

The Arachne tilted his head as he looked down at me. “and why is that?” he asked with a curious tone.

“because– I just… I can't do something like that with you! this isn't something I want!”

He looked at me with an unreadable expression as I tried to get my racing heart and spinning head under control.

crossing his arms he leaned down to where his face was less than a foot from my own. “You humans are strange... perhaps it's your lack of eyes that makes it harder for you to see what's right before you.” he poked my forehead before straightening himself and backing away.

Rubbing my forehead now it was my turn to be confused. “Alright if you need more persuading then so be it. stay here and do not wander off. I am going to go find us breakfast.”

With that he turned and walked away, crawling through the tunnel out of sight. leaving me sitting there bewildered.

‘What just happened?’ My mind reeled as I thought over everything that just occurred. At first I thought he simply just saw me as prey or food but now he wants…that.

My entire body shuddered with a strange warmth pooling in my stomach at the thought of being intimate with someone like him.

I'd never been so close to a man before, much less a monster. I had always imagined falling in love with someone and getting married to live happily ever after, not– this.

‘I mean sure he's attractive but…no no! I can't be thinking like this! snap out of it wren, this guy plans to eat me! sex or not I'm just a meal he’s saving for later, I can't let myself fall for whatever charms he’s using against me!’

I need to find a way out of here somehow, I've already concluded that climbing out of the pit isn't an option, that leaves me with only one option.

My gaze moved to the dreaded tunnel the Arachne crawled into. He said he was going to search for food, instead of climbing out of the pit he went in there, that must mean there is a way out of here through there, it's just a matter of finding it.

My biggest issue is trying to navigate through those dark tunnels, and getting past the arachne himself. monsters and beasts like him don't have the same sleeping patterns as humans, it very well could be days before he ends up sleeping again. I doubt I have that kind of time, and who's to say he won't tie me up again?

It'll take some time for my mana to regenerate but once it does I should have no issue finding my way out of here. If I could just find a way to get rid of him…

Almost immediately an idea came to mind as I looked down to the bottom of the pit, littered with bones.

If I had a weapon, maybe I could get close enough to deal a fatal blow.

Carefully crawling to the edge of the web I dropped down to the ground and started searching through the various remains. I found a few broken blades and armor pieces but most everything was rusty, dull, and brittle.

cursing I cringed in disgust as I dug through the various piles of remains for something, anything that would be sharp and durable enough to use. ‘how is there not a single unbroken weapon?!’
