Laena was dead; she had died from dragon fire the way she wanted to. On her own terms, she wasn't going to survive, and the baby wasn't going to survive that was proven when the babe got stuck mid labor slowly suffocating inside the one place he was suppose to be safe they were going to have to cut her open to safe the babe she wouldn't make it at all she lost to much blood, so she died her own way, leaving behind her husband and two children, her twin girls Baela and Rhaena.
"This is the first time I have left the keep in twenty-two years; I have never been on a boat either," Lilly admitted to Criston, watching Aegon fly around Helena and Dreamfye with Sunfyre Daemon, Aemma, and Rhaella following closely behind.
"Really?"
"Mmmh, my father, sister, and I came here when I was five, then I married the king when I just reached twelve. I hadn't been allowed to leave since then, I always wanted to travel the world and learn its wonders; that was my dream as a child."
"Perhaps one day you can."
"Perhaps," she agreed, smiling at him before it dimmed as she saw Driftmark not far. Soon after they were docking
"Princess Rhaenys, Lord Coryls, we are so sorry for your loss. If there is anything we can do, please let me know." Lilly told the grieving parents, who nodded
"Thank you, your grace. We will have a servant. Show you your chambers. I do apologize, but some of your children may have to share. We do not have many available rooms."
"That is no problem, my lord," the queen assured the man as they entered the castle. Lilly noticed the twins who saw her and began to run towards her, making her hand Aerys to Criston kneeling down and hugging her nieces tightly as they began to cry.
"It's all alright, sweet girls." She whispered, kissing their heads, knowing exactly how they were feeling, having lost her own mother quite young.
"She is gone," Baela whimpered, sobbing harder. She didn't care if it was unbecoming for a princess or a Targaryen; she has just lost her mother. She will cry if she is damn well pleased.
"I know, sweetheart, I know."

The Velaryons, Targaryen's, Hightower's, and onlookers stood around the cliff listening to the sound of the waves hitting the rock as two men looped ropes through the casket that held Lady Laena's remains and a smaller one that held the little boy Laena carried when Vaemond Velaryon started his speech, speaking in high Valyrian.
"We join today at the Seat of the Sea to commit the Lady Laena of House Velaryon and Prince Aenor of House Targaryen to the eternal waters, the dominion of the Merling King, where he will guard them for all the days to come as they set sail for their final voyage. The Lady Laena leaves two true-born daughters on the shore and leaves with her true-born son."
Everyone looked at Rhaenyra and her three sons, who looked every bit related to Ser Harwin; there was no Velaryon in their features, and everyone knew that there was no salt in their blood.
"Though their mother and brother will not return from their voyage. They will all remain bound together in blood. Salt courses through Velaryon. Ours runs thick, ours runs true, and ours must never thin."
As Vaemond finished his speech, Daemon scoffed, tightening his hand on his sword. His wife and son's funeral was no time to jab at Rhaenyra and her bastard boys. Lilly gently grabbed his hand, warning him not to act.
"My gentle niece may the winds be as strong as your back, your seas as calm as your spirit, and your nets be as full as your heart. From the sea we came to, we shall return."
