After that terrifying note, I had been bullied immensely by the students here. That was what he meant by, 'best of luck.' Well, too bad because I'm not begging. I will not ask him to save me. He can kiss my- I looked to my left to see the crown prince brimming with pleasure at my sight. I can't let my guard down if I do. I'll surely be in those beast's arms suffocating, slowly. Just thinking about it gives me the creeps. I simply pouted, took my belongings, and left for the library.
A carton of milk was poured onto my head. The milk dripping all over me made me cringe. I covered my ears, blocking out the echoes of laughter. I abruptly stood up from my chair and lifted my wet bangs out of the way, splashing milk onto the suspect making them back away in disgust. I grabbed my notebook and wrote, "Ah, thank you! It tastes so good! It can even go well with cookies!" I will not give them the satisfaction. The group of students were dumbstruck, got bored, and left.
I was on my way to the cafeteria, I wanted to eat a chocolate chip cookie so badly after that milk was poured into me! Milk with a cookie! I was happy to buy some milk and cookies! I headed my way to my room when a certain someone tripped me over. My milk and cookies splattered all over the floor.
"Ha, what a freak!" My milk and cookies... my poor milk and cookies! I couldn't help but start tearing up. That was the last chocolate chip cookie! "Ah, finally this girl can cry." The boy gripped my collar and pulled me up, looking at my face. "Interesting." Fuck! My damn cookies! I punched him in the face! He fell back and held his face. I flip the bird at him! Wait, oh shit! I just punched Katherine's brother! I giggled nervously took out my notebook and wrote, "Sorry!" And skedaddle out of there.
I suddenly bumped into someone and fell in the process. I groaned as I rubbed my butt. "Oh, my apologies! Please, let me help you up, Princess Anastasia!" Oh, it's Loukas! He reached his hand out and I grabbed them. I mouthed a thank you to him. "Wow, did you do that?" I nervously looked at Loukas and wrote, "Yes... He made me drop my cookies and milk." Is he going to hate me for that? Will he kill- "Princess Anastasia, I am not mad at you. If anything he deserved it." Oh, I met someone normal already here finally! "Oh, here you go." Loukas handed me a napkin and inside the napkin was a cookie! I started clapping my hands and took the cookie from his hands. My knight and shining armor! Oops, I was too focused on the cookie. I started scribbling in my notebook, "Thank you for the cookie!" I drew a cute smiling face next to it. Loukas smiled at my response. "My pleasure, Princess." Loukas's eyes darted behind me and swiftly grabbed my wrist. "We better go before Jacinto catches you!" I looked behind me to see Jacinto sprinting towards us. Oh, shit! We ran until we found a safe spot. Loukas and I were both panting loudly and we slowly looked up at each other until we started chuckling. "Ah, that was the most fun I had in this dull place." Loukas expressed.
I was completely calm with Loukas. For the past few days, it was hard to breathe when I was in class, at lunch, or even in my bedroom. I couldn't help but write in my notebook to ask him this request. Though it might not work, it was worth a shot. "Can you safely guide me in this dangerous place, Lord Loukas?" I'm sure Loukas knew of my situation here. He wouldn't surely say no. Would he? Loukas was astonished by my request and started laughing. "I was waiting for you to ask me that, princess. Took you long enough."
I wrote in my notebook, "What do you mean?"
"Princess, your older brother Prince Dimitri gave me the order to observe your decisions and actions away from your sight but I just couldn't help myself. You are far more interesting than any girl I've ever seen before. I would just love to see his face when he finds out that I've defied his order." Of course, Dimitri would do something like that. My brothers have their eyes on me, watching me so I don't disgrace the throne. "Why would His Highness request such a thing? His Majesty had already abandoned me. So, what's the deal? Isn't this what they've wanted? For me, to live a life of misery?"
"Oh dear princess, you are so oblivious, are you?" His decision to openly defy my brother was suspicious. What would Lord Loukas gain from securing my path? Well, amusement I suppose. No matter, it was too good to refuse. If anything, having Lord Loukas on my side and telling me the decisions of my brothers would benefit me. First, I had to make something clear. "No strings attached to my family, just you reporting trivial matters to His Highnesses. I need to know if you'll do this for me, and only me. Again, will you accept my request?" Loukas grinned at my boldness, grabbing my wrist gently, and got on one knee, "I accept, Princess Anastasia de Amara Evangeline." And he sealed the deal with a kiss on my hand.
There! In your face, Lysias! I don't need your stupid help!
