If Aegon had the choice to abdicate the throne, he would have done it with uncertainty and the fear of becoming unimportant. He knows he didn't choose this position- but deep down, he knows that without it, he wouldn't be given the luxuries he's become so accustomed to.
But if Y/N Lannister had asked him to abdicate the throne, he would have done it with a quickness that would have left even the most seasoned courtiers in surprise.
Despite Aegon's strong sense of resolve and confidence in himself and his ability to sit the throne, his entire being seemed to totally dissipate whenever his wife was around.
Aegon hated the crown. He hated it for being forced upon him- But he appreciated the crown for giving him the ability to love and hold his beloved Y/N Lannister.
Aegon believed Y/N to be a gift sent straight by the Gods, an angel given to him to aid all the problems in the world. He had never felt such peace when they were together- peace he had never felt in his life.
The two were tooth-rottingly in love. You could never see one without the other, clinging to each other like they'd get lost if they let go of each other's hands.
