After returning to school, it wasn’t long before the final exams were upon them.
Since they had a good time going out, they could now recollect and immerse themselves in their studies again.
Bitting a pen, Pon looked at the questions. The answers were scribbled all over the exam paper, and the solving process was so brief that it could be overlooked.
On his desk, there was a cup of hot milk tea that Sailub had just brought for him.
Sailub hadn’t lied, these past few days, he hadn’t pressured him. He hadn’t even mentioned anything about the confession.
Since returning from the vacation after New Year’s, they continued going to school together as usual, playing basketball and running together.
Last week, they even went to play games together with Belle and the others.
Everything seemed to have returned to normal.
…Or so it seemed!
Pon cursed silently in his mind.
This liar Sailub Hemmawich. Although he said it was okay, that he’d still treat him like a bro, but his actions were now so overly gentlemanly to the point of being infuriating.
Ever since returning after New Year’s, forget about physical contact, even if they accidentally brushed hands while passing papers, he would apologize.
He no longer hooked his arms around him, no longer warmed his hands when walking, and always maintained a palm’s distance.
It’s as if overnight, he suddenly understood the meaning of the distance between alphas and omegas.
But he couldn’t find a reason to blame him.
What could he blame Sailub for?
Sailub liked him, and that was already a secret shared between them. Now, with things unclear, he couldn’t give Sailub an answer, but Sailub voluntarily gave him space, which was undoubtedly thoughtful.
Should he be blaming Sailub for being too much of a gentleman?
Feeling frustrated, Pon took another sip of the milk tea.
This milk tea was clearly the same one he frequently drank, but now it tasted like it had less sugar, with a bitter aftertaste of tea.
He suddenly thought of an idea, glanced at Sailub, and used his knees to bump against Sailub’s under the desk, trying to provoke him, “What sugar level did you ask for? It’s not sweet at all?”
Sailub didn’t even look at him. “Eighty percent, only you like it so sweet.”
Pon glanced at the label on the milk tea cup: 80% sugar, add cheese foam, add pudding.
So he could only blame the milk tea shop, “Don’t go there next time, it’s bitter, what a scam.”
Sailub ignored his antics, finished his math homework, and passed it to Michael, who was crying for help beside him.
Then he seemed to ponder for a few seconds before calmly saying to Pon, “I’m planning to go back home for a few days.”
Pon almost flipped the table.
“Why are you going back home?” Pon stared at Sailub, his face darkening..
If someone else saw him with such an expression, they would probably instinctively steer clear, afraid of provoking him.
But Sailub wasn’t afraid of this paper tiger. He calmly explained, “The person next door is too noisy, and the final exams are coming up. I want to go back and review.”
