The school festival was just around the corner, and the buzz of excitement filled U.A. High. Among the myriad of activities and preparations, one thing that stood out was the noticeable change in the dynamic between Y/n and Bakugou. They were spending more time together, whether it was working on the horror booth or simply hanging out in the common areas. Their interactions, once fraught with tension, now had a more comfortable and familiar rhythm.
One afternoon, as Bakugou and his friends were lounging in their usual spot, Kirishima decided to address the elephant in the room. "Hey, Bakugou," he started casually, though his tone was laced with curiosity. "You and Y/n have been spending a lot of time together lately. Everything alright?"
Bakugou, who was busy trying to perfect his gaming skills on his phone, glanced up with a scowl. "Yeah, so what? We're just working on the booth unlike what you extras have been doing."
Kirishima and Kaminari exchanged knowing glances, the latter grinning mischievously. "Just working on the booth, huh?" Kaminari teased. "You seem pretty cozy with her. Maybe there's something more to it?"
Bakugou's face flushed slightly, and he slammed his phone down. "There's nothing more to it! We're just getting along better, that's all. Don't make a big deal out of it."
Sero chuckled, not entirely convinced. "Alright, alright. We're just looking out for you. But if there's something going on, you know you can talk to us."
As Bakugou's friends continued to tease him, Y/n was in a similar situation. Her friends cornered her in the common room, their expressions a mix of excitement and curiosity.
"So," Mina began with a playful grin, "we've noticed you've been spending a lot of time with Bakugou. What's up with that?"
Y/n's cheeks turned a light shade of pink as she fidgeted with the hem of her shirt. "Oh, it's nothing really. We're just working on the horror booth together."
Uraraka leaned in with a teasing smile. "Nothing? You seem pretty comfortable around him. Are you sure there's nothing more to it?"
Y/n's heart raced at the question, and she looked down, struggling to find the right words. "I... I don't really know. It's been nice getting to know him better, but I'm still trying to figure out what I feel."
Momo and Asui exchanged glances, their expressions softening with understanding. "It's okay to be confused," Momo said reassuringly. "Sometimes it takes time to understand your own feelings. Just be honest with yourself and with him."
Y/n nodded, appreciating their support but still feeling uncertain. "Yeah, I guess. I'm just new to all this... having feelings for someone."
As the days went by, the friendship between Y/n and Bakugou continued to grow, each of them navigating their evolving emotions with a mix of excitement and trepidation. While their friends observed and speculated, Y/n and Bakugou focused on their shared goals, finding solace and comfort in each other's company.

The school festival preparations were in full swing, and Y/n was busy carrying a few materials for the horror booth. As she navigated the bustling hallways with a stack of construction paper and cloth, Bakugou appeared beside her, effortlessly grabbing some of the heavier items from her arms.
"Seriously, you're gonna hurt yourself carrying all this," he grumbled, taking the load with a mix of irritation and concern. "Let me help."
Y/n glanced at him, her cheeks still slightly flushed from earlier conversations with her friends. The teasing from Mina and Uraraka had left her feeling jittery, and she found it hard to ignore the fluttering feeling in her stomach whenever she was around Bakugou.
"Thanks," she mumbled, trying to focus on the task at hand. "I didn't realize I had so much."
As they worked together, setting up the booth and arranging the materials, Y/n's mind kept drifting back to her friends' comments. The idea of having feelings for Bakugou was becoming more than just a fleeting thought; it was starting to take hold, making her increasingly self-conscious. Every time she glanced at him, her heart fluttered, and she struggled to keep her composure.
Bakugou, ever perceptive to the shifts in her mood, noticed the subtle blush on her cheeks and the way she fidgeted with the supplies. His usual smirk slowly turned into a more playful grin as he saw how flustered she was becoming. Feeling mischievous, he decided to push the boundaries a bit. "Hey nerd."
"Y-Ye-" Y/n turns to look at Bakugou, only to freeze as she realizes the small space between them.
He leaned in closer, his breath warm against her ear. The closeness made Y/n's heart race even faster, and she could feel a shiver run down her spine. He murmured, his voice a low, teasing whisper. "Do you like me or something?"
The words hung in the air, and Y/n's face turned a deep shade of crimson. Her breath caught in her throat, and she could barely manage a response. "W-What are you talking about?" she stammered, her voice barely above a whisper.
Bakugou's grin widened as he saw her reaction, the way her eyes widened in surprise and her lips parted slightly. He couldn't help but feel a thrill at her flustered state. "You've been acting all nervous around me. Thought I'd ask."
Y/n's mind was a whirlwind of emotions, the teasing in Bakugou's voice combined with his proximity making her heart pound. She tried to maintain her composure, but her flustered state only seemed to deepen. "I-I don't know what you're talking about," she managed to say, though her voice trembled slightly.
Bakugou chuckled softly, the sound almost gentle. "Right," he said, pulling back just enough to see her full reaction. "If you say so."
Y/N's embarrassment reached its peak, and she couldn't handle it any longer. "I-I need to go," she said, her voice wavering. "I have... things to do."
Without waiting for a response, she hurried off, leaving Bakugou standing there with a bemused expression. He watched her go, a soft chuckle escaping his lips. There was something endearing about her reaction, and he found himself smiling at her retreating figure.
"Cute," he muttered to himself, shaking his head. Despite his usual bravado, there was a warmth in his chest as he thought about her. The playful teasing had made his feelings more apparent, and he couldn't deny that he enjoyed seeing her flustered, even if it meant she was a little embarrassed.
As Y/n disappeared around the corner, Bakugou returned to his work, his thoughts a mix of amusement and curiosity. The festival preparations continued, but for him, the highlight of the day was seeing Y/n's reaction to his teasing.
