WHAM

A loud thud from the Dark Cacoa's guest room bedroom startled Pure Vanilla, who had been curled up in his window alcove reading a book. Immediately, he dropped the book, dashing out of his room.

"Dark Cacoa? Are you okay?" Pure Vanilla called out, his footsteps echoing in the large manor's corridor. He slowly turned the handle and peeked into the guest room given to Dark Cacoa. He froze as he saw Dark Cacao sprawled on the floor.

"I'm fine," he grunted, pushing himself up using the oak bed's fluffy cream mattress, "This bed is too soft by the way."

"Are you sure? Do you want me to maybe check for injuries?" Pure Vanilla nervously asked, stepping into the room. "How did you even fall? That's not like you."

"It's nothing," Dark Cacoa muttered, looking away.

"Alright then..." Pure Vanilla shrugged, plopping down onto the bed. He looked up at Dark Cacoa with a goofy grin, crossing his legs.

"What are you doing?" Dark Cacoa asked, narrowing his eyes.

"Watching. Why? Do you want me to leave?" Pure Vanilla cocked his head, blinking innocently at Dark Cacoa.

"Yeah, it's my bedroom, so-"

Dark Cacoa paused, looking at Pure Vanilla's expression, whose bottom lips slightly quivering and his eyes widened.

"Ugh... it's not that I don't want you here. It's just...well..." He trailed off, his hand scratching the nape of his neck and the tips of his ears turning red, "it's embarrassing to say."

"Oh, Dark Cacoa, I'm sure it's not that embarrassing. Maybe I'll be able to help," Pure Vanilla coaxed, clasping Dark Cacoa's hands between his. "I promise I won't laugh."

Dark Cacoa hesitated, his mind turning. His eyes narrowed before he gave in, sighing. He knew he wasn't learning much by himself, and Pure Vanilla could be persistent at times.

"Fine, you better not laugh at me," he warned. He embarrassedly continued, "I don't know how to dance, and I'm trying to learn, and it's making me want to kill myself."

"Pfft," Pure Vanilla giggled, earning a glare from Dark Cacoa.

"You said you wouldn't laugh!" Dark Cacoa crossed his arms, angrily pouting.

"I'm not laughing at you. It's just interesting how you can help the frontlines yet you want to kill yourself over dance," Pure Vanilla replied calmly, "And it's nothing to be embarrassed about. It's fairly easy once you get used to it."

"Yeah, maybe for you and White Lily! It's hard, my movements are blocky, and sword-fighting is much easier and exciting," Dark Cacoa complained, punching his pillow violently. He then began to pace back and forth from one side of the wall where his sword stood and to the door, "I'm going to embarrass myself at the ball!"
