Today was boring as hell. Everyone was busy with one thing or another, and nobody wanted to hang out with you. On the one day you weren't busy, everyone else was.

Walking around tirelessly, you kept on begging for someone, anyone to be free. Your knuckles started to get sore from how often you knocked on someone's door. After a while, you seriously consider giving up. Maybe today just wasn't your day.

However, after a little bit of thought, an idea popped into your head, a smile slowly forming across your face.

Deciding to test your luck one last time, you head over to the diner area. You at least hoped Cosmo and Sprout wouldn't be busy, they're never busy! They were probably baking some small pastries again, like almost every other day. You really hoped they weren't though, so you three could actually do something.

Quickening your pace, you have high hopes. Sprout and Cosmo always asked you to do an activity anyway, so why not the other way around? It seemed fair to you.

Pushing open the diner doors, you caught a faint whiff of some kind of cinnamon smell. Whatever it was, you really wanted a bite of that. Maybe as a small snack, who knows?

As you make your way to the kitchen, the smell grows stronger and you hear two voices. One, much louder and more clear than the other. You recognized the voices immediately and rushed over to them, waving excitedly.

They both caught notice of you and waved back. You noticed Cosmo was shaping a ball full of dough coated in a thin layer of frosting. He worked carefully, making each ball look like a small cinnamon roll.

"Y/N, hi! I didn't know you even came over here!" Sprout greeted you, his voice as chipper.

"Well, I was just wondering if you guys wanted to do something. Everyone's busy today..." You say, your voice painted with disappointment as you said the last part.

Sprout looked down at Cosmo with a questioning look, and Cosmo just shrugged. He glanced back down and picked up the tray slowly. Sprout sighed and looked at you with an awkward smile.

"Well... See, we would normally agree but, we still have to bake these cinnamon rolls. We're planning to serve them later." He said slowly, hoping you wouldn't be disappointed. You obviously were, but decided to leave it at that.

"Okay... But will you be free later?" You ask, getting a bit desperate now. Sprout looked at Cosmo, and Cosmo looked at you, finally speaking up.

"Maybe in about... an hour? It shouldn't take too long to get these done." He said, pressing some buttons on the oven to prepare to preheat it. You nodded and turned around, beginning to walk back to the lobby.

"Well, see you later then!" You yelled behind you. You pushed open the diner doors and made your way deeper into the building. Not knowing what to do to pass the time, you sit down on a bench near Dandy's small corner shop and listen to the songs on the radio, even though there were only two. You just hoped they'd be done before you ultimately got bored.

TWO HOURS LATER...

You were still waiting on the bench, swinging your legs in front of you and listening to Clair De Lune for what felt like the thousandth time. Where were they?

They said they would be done after ONE hour, but here you were. Your patience began wearing thin, and you eventually got up. Once you got up though, you didn't really know what to do. You looked around aimlessly for anything that seemed interesting, but it was all bland. You let out a tired groan, how would you even pass the time?
