"You finally ready to pop back out?" Chris asked me.

"Yeah it's about time. The Grammy's tonight. I'm the special guest performer. Don't tell anybody though." I say.

This would be my first performance since that tour last year. A tour that I didn't even finish. My life has changed so much since then.

I'm no longer on probation so I'm basically free. I took a break from the music industry. After dropping the Residuals album, I focused more on other things.

I've appeared in a few shows and movies. I spend most of my time with Blue. It's tough for her as she goes back and forth between her mother and I.

I've found peace within myself. Keeping the things that matter first. Best thing I did was forgive myself and then prayed. Now every day is like a breath of fresh air.

"You know she's gonna be there right?" Drake said, concerned.

"I'll deal with that when it happens." I mumbled.

I haven't seen her since I left that damn tour. We haven't spoken or none of that. I can't even tell you how she's doing.

We have an arrangement when it comes to Blue. It's usually Solange that picks up and/or drops her off. I wish it wasn't that complicated but I'm not gonna argue against it.

What I do know is that she dropped another album. About two months later after I dropped mine. Lemonade: The Continuation.

I've listened to it. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that it was about our relationship. I hate that I hurt her. Thought I could never do such a thing.

But I'm only human.

I entered the jam packed arena. It was filled with other celebrities, news outlets, fans, you name it. I didn't grace the red carpet. An extra effort to keep my appearance a surprise. I'd walk it
afterwards. As that's a thing to walk the carpet twice at award shows.

I was a little nervous. My first performance in a little over a year and it's on one of the biggest stages. I'd be performing songs from the Residuals album.

The show had already started. I was currently getting connected to the sound equipment. I was handed a microphone shortly afterwards.
