ALMOST ENOUGH #16
Sharyn's POV
“You know, Sharyn.”
Sai sat beside me and draped his coat over my shoulders as I leaned forward, resting my head on the table. It was that time of the month again—my red days. I couldn’t understand why I felt like this; some women I knew, like Ellia, didn’t seem to suffer like I did. Avey, on the other hand, often had terrible cramps, just like me.
“Where did you get that, huh?” I wrinkled my nose. “It’s gross, Sai, okay?”
“Uy, grabe ka naman! I wasn’t saying do it when you have a period. I was just saying na kapag ginawa mo na ‘yon araw-araw ay hindi ka na magkaka-dysmenorrhea.”
“Where on earth did you even get that?”
I couldn’t see what they were doing dahil nakayuko ako.
“Tinatamad ako,” sagot ni Sai.
How I wish I were like them. I can do it, but I'm not like my friends who pass the class without much effort—it's like they were born to become lawyers.
Magrereklamo sana ako nang may ipatong ulit siya—no, not Sai!
Inangat ko ang ulo ko para tingnan. Hindi nga ako nagkamali na si Hunter. Kabisado ko na ang pabango niya.
“Hey, what are you doing here?”
I rolled my eyes at Sai bago ako tumingin kay Hunter.
“Heard from Aero that you aren’t feeling well so I stopped by,” sagot niya saka inayos ang nagulong buhok ko.
“Huh? But you said you have an appointment today with the CIDG kasama ang father mo."
What do you want to do?”
“I want to sleep,” parang bata na sabi ko.
I cringed at myself for a second but ended up laughing inside—I really do like Hunter. Normally, I would hate PDA and all the clingy stuff because I find it embarrassing, but now, who cares?
“Want to sleep inside my car?” yaya niya. “I’ll wake you up before your class.
We’ll wait for you later.”
“Okay.” Hunter nodded at them. “Ako na bahala sa kaniya.”
“Yeah, we know… and dapat lang,” sabi ni Sai.
