Author's note: I just want to apologize in advance that some of the dates in this story might not add up to the actual dates corresponding to her career.

The soft strumming of Yunjin's guitar filled the room, her fingers moving effortlessly over the strings. Her voice, soft yet powerful, floated through the space, wrapping Y/N in its warmth as he sat cross-legged on her floor, listening. The sun filtered through her curtains, casting a golden hue over her room, giving everything a dreamlike quality.
Y/N watched her closely, the way she closed her eyes as she sang, lost in the music. There was something different about her today—an energy, a nervousness that hung in the air.
As the last note faded, Yunjin set the guitar aside, looking over at him with a small, almost hesitant smile. "I've got something to tell you," she began, her voice a bit quieter now, though it didn't lose its usual warmth.
Y/N leaned forward, sensing the weight of her words. "What's up?"
Yunjin took a deep breath, fidgeting with the hem of her shirt. "I got an offer... from SM Entertainment. To become a trainee. In Korea."
The words hit Y/N like a punch, his mind racing as he processed what she'd just said. He knew how much this meant to her, how this was everything she had been working toward. Still, the reality of her leaving felt heavy.
"That's... amazing," Y/N finally managed, his voice steady but tinged with something he couldn't quite place. "You're really going for it?"
Yunjin nodded, her eyes searching his. "Yeah, I think I have to. It's my shot."
A brief silence settled between them, filled only by the faint hum of the guitar strings still vibrating. Then, Yunjin glanced away, her cheeks flushing slightly as she spoke again, this time even softer.
"And... there's something else I've been meaning to say."
Y/N tilted his head, curious. "What is it?"
She looked back at him, her expression more serious than he'd ever seen. "I like you, Y/N. I've liked you for a while."
For a moment, the room seemed to hold its breath. Y/N stared at her, the words sinking in, his heart pounding for reasons completely different from yesterday's game. He opened his mouth to respond, but no words came out.
Yunjin held his gaze, her vulnerability raw and real. "I just... I wanted you to know before everything changes."
Y/N stared at Yunjin for a moment, her words lingering in the space between them, filling the room with a new kind of warmth. His heart was racing, but it wasn't from nerves anymore—it was from something deeper, something that had been there all along.
He smiled, soft and genuine. "I like you too, Yunjin. I have for a while."
Relief flickered across her face, and for a moment, everything felt right.
Y/N reached out, gently taking her hand. "Let's promise something. No matter what happens—no matter where we go, we'll chase our dreams. Together."
Yunjin squeezed his hand, her eyes bright, a smile blooming on her face. "Promise."
They sat there, hand in hand, the future vast and uncertain but shared, each step toward their dreams tied to the other's. The warmth of the room felt like it wrapped around them, a quiet understanding that they would push each other to be the dream versions of themselves—no matter the distance, no matter the challenges.
