I settled onto the bed, my eyes darting anxiously around the room in search of Veer's reassuring smile and Papa's warm presence.
But they were nowhere to be found. Mom's gentle hand on my shoulder didn't calm the flutter in my chest, and I felt a pang of unease.
"Where are they" I asked my mother, my voice barely above a whisper.
Her eyes, red-rimmed from earlier tears, began to well up again. She took a deep breath, her shoulders trembling.
"Don't panic after hearing everything" she said with a trembling voice. Tears stream down from her face.
I felt scared, my heart racing with uncertainty.
"Baba g,please don't let anything happen to my family" i prayed to God for my family's well-being in mind.
"Your father have ca-cardiac arrest" she whispered, her voice trembling like a leaf
I felt like I'd been killed, my heart ripped out of my chest.
I felt numb, paralyzed unable to breathe. Her words became a distant hum, a painful haze.
"Is he out of danger?" I asked struggling to hold back tears.
She nodded and a burden of anguish lifted, yet anxiety lingered.
A nurse called her and she gave my hand a gentle squeeze before standing up.
"I'll be back bacha" she whispered and walked away, leaving me with a mix of emotions.
I felt scared, and suddenly aaron's thought came into my mind
"'Everything will be okay" His calm and reassuring voice echoed in my memory.
I closed my eyes, letting his words wrap around me like a comforting blanket.
Tears threatened to spill, but I held them back.
How did he know exactly what I needed to hear? Was he watching over me from somewhere?
I opened my eyes to see aaron standing beside me, his gentle smile illuminating the drab hospital room.
My heart skipped a beat.
"'Hey, I'm here" he whispered, his voice soft and soothing.
I stared, unsure if I was hallucinating or dreaming. But his warm presence felt real.
"'A-Aaron?' I stammered, my voice barely audible.
He nodded, his eyes crinkling at the corners.
I quickly stood up from the bed, ignoring the drips and wires attached to me, and hugged him tightly.
The hospital room faded away, leaving only aaron's warm embrace.
He held onto me tightly, like I was his most precious possession, his lifeline.
His grip was fierce, yet gentle, conveying a depth of emotion that made my heart race.
I felt safe, protected, and cherished in his arms. The world outside receded, leaving only the two of us, lost in this moment.
He pulled away from me, his eyes burning with intensity.
Then, he kissed me roughly, his lips crashing against mine with a fierce passion. I felt consumed, devoured by the hunger in his kiss.
His hands grasped my face, holding me in place as he deepened the kiss.
I melted into him, our tongues entwining in a dance of desire.
The tears I was struggling to hold started dripping, streaming down my face as aaron's kiss intensified.
He tasted the saltiness on my lips, and his grip on my face tightened.
I sobbed, my body shaking with the force of my tears. Aaron held me, his warmth and strength enveloping me like a shield.
"Let the tears fall, your man is here to handle you"
He folded me in his arms and whispered soothingly.
The door swung open, and my heart skipped a beat as I saw Mom and Veer standing in the entrance. I quickly pulled away from Aaron, my face flushing with surprise.
I stood frozen, my eyes cast downward, avoiding eye contact with anyone. The sudden interruption made me feel self-conscious, and I couldn't help but wonder what they must be thinking.
Veer's silence was unnerving, but Mom's piercing gaze was even more unsettling. Her eyes darted from me to Aaron, scrutinizing our proximity.
The air thickened with tension as she raised an eyebrow, her expression a mixture of curiosity and disapproval.
I stood frozen, my eyes wide with shock, as Aaron effortlessly dispelled the tension.
His gentle gesture of touching Mom's feet, a sign of respect in our culture, melted her stern expression. Her face softened, and a warm smile spread across her face.
My mind reeled as Mom's warm smile and gentle pat on Aaron's head made sense. He had told her.
He had actually told her about us without asking me, without considering how I'd feel.
My glare lingered on Aaron, betrayal and anger simmering in my eyes.
Then, I shifted my gaze to Mom, searching for... understanding, approval?
The silence between Aaron and me was palpable, thick with unspoken words.
Mom's sudden departure, followed by veer g's, left us alone with the tension.
He moved closer, but i halted him with a firm.
"Don't you dare come closer to me. We are in relationship for just 2 days and you told my mom. WHO KNOWS YOUR LOVE IS GENUINE OR NOT"
His face darkened and he seized my wrist, pulling me against the wall. His other hand encircled my waist, holding me captive.
