Elsa's Point of View

I finally jumped on the bed, hugging my pillow tightly as happiness started kicking in. I giggled and kicked the air. Oh, I'd been waiting to lay on the bed after school. I was in a such of relief when I remember there's no homework. I closed my eyes and smiled while tugging my pillow onto my chest. Then, I opened my eyes. I sat upright and looked around the room. Since I have nothing to do, I should ask mom if she needs anything. I thought as I jumped out of the bed. I walked outside and headed downstairs to mom's little office. I politely knocked on the door and heard a soft muffled voice saying, "Come in!" I turned the doorknob and took a peek. Mom was sitting on her office chair as she took a sip of her favorite chamomile tea. I watched as mom aggressively clicked on a mouse as she stared at the bright screen on her laptop. She was also mumbling some words that I didn't recognized until she put her teacup down. "Hey, mom." I greeted as I walked towards her table. "Hey, honey." She stopped and glanced at me. "Do you happen to have something to do? Like, chores or anything? Gardening?" I asked as I took a sit on a stool next to her. Mom cupped her chin and stared at some empty space to think. "Hmm, as for now there's nothing." She replied. "Why? Are you bored, Elsa?" I nodded and rested my head on the table. I stared at the stack of papers and documents at the side as I felt the vibration on the table when she began typing. "Don't you have schoolwork to do?" I shook my head. "I'm free today and I need to do something to pass the time." I answered as I rested my chin on my left palm. "You could do some errands for the house or water the plants in the backyard." Mom said, running her fingers on the keyboard. "Anna did that already." I replied. Mom was still focusing on the screen while mumbling the words out of her mouth. She finally moved her eyes away from the laptop and turned her attention towards me. "Why don't you take a walk around the neighborhood? Do some explores or greet your neighbors." Mom suggested as she unlocked the window behind her. She opened it and let the fresh air in. "The weather is nice today." She convinced.

Hmm, a nice walk should be fine to me. Besides, I'd been in the house for too long that I barely had myself connected with the nature outside. "Yeah, you're right mom." I smiled as I gazed at the bright blue sky. I stood up and headed to the door when mom suddenly stopped me. "Oh, Elsa! Before you go, I have something to give you." She opened the lower cabinet and started rummaging. A few seconds after that, she pulled out a small gift box with a white ribbon tied on top and gestured me to come closer. "I made a friend with your neighbor from a couple of blocks away. She gifted me a delicious homemade sandwich and I want to give her something in return." Mom explained as I took the gift box. "Would you be so kind to give it to her for me? Here's the address." She grabbed a small piece of folded paper from the upper desk and gave it to me. "Oh, okay. I'll be sure to give this right on time." I said, waving my hand at mom as I hold the door open. Mom gave me a thumbs up and continued her work. I closed the door quietly and reached the entrance. Then, I put on my slippers and walked outside. I stopped at the front gate of my house and read the note on the paper. The address said,

165-1, Green Field, Alpine's Park.

165-1. That number must be about 4 houses down the street. I should be getting there easy and fast. I closed the gate and jogged my way down the path and carefully read the numbers and names of each houses. I noticed that most of the houses here were either different or similar, depending on the decorations, exterior and the structure of the building. They all have the same sized lawn, except the houses that were located at the corner. Speaking of the corner house, I immediately recognized the number and name carved on a thick flat wooden board. I took a step back to look at the house. The wooden fences were covered in flowering vines - most were pink and yellow flowers. I looked down to see a wooden vintage styled fence gate, decorated with painted flowers on the surface. I caught a glimpse of the neighbor's house - It was a two storey with blue wooden walls. The path that led to the fence gate had a few bushes perfectly aligned to each other. Next to the bushes was a small lawn. Hey, is that....a figure of a snowman? I thought as I glanced at the fake snowman. A blue scarf was wrapped around his neck and a funny looking hat was placed on top of his head, almost looked like it's falling off. I giggled at the sight of it, reminding myself about Olaf who liked dressing himself as a human - a Hawaiian t-shirt, button pants, yellow sunglasses and a big sun hat. He liked wearing those during Summer. Back in Arendelle, Olaf, Anna and I would always spend our time with a picnic and playing hide and seek together in the forest just behind my late grandparents' house. Since dad restricted us from going outside, we spent most of our younger days in the backyard. That was the only way to keep my powers away from the world, as well as taking advantage of it to go ice-skating on abandoned frozen lake, throwing snowballs and making snow figurines with my sister.
