and it's not over 'til it's over, it's never over.

if you were to tell emily lyons less than a year ago that lynn loud would drag her into the janitors closet to apologize, she would tell you that you were crazy.

mainly because past lynn would rather walk on coal then touch or talk to emily, but that's besides the point

so, here she was, standing in the janitors closet with lynn loud's hand over her mouth as the athlete tried to get emily to listen to her.

"are you crazy?!" emily said, it being muffled by lynn's hand.

"a little, i just need to talk to you."

emily grabbed the brunettes hand and took it off her mouth, giving her a glare that lynn tried to ignore.

"just let me talk, em." lynn tried to explain to the freaked out girl, which was reasonable.

"no, you're insane." emily tried to grab the doorknob, but lynn stopped her.

"you wouldn't listen to me if i didn't." lynn said, grabbing the girls hand.

"what do you want to say, then?" emily asked.

"i'm sorry. i'm so, so, so, so sorry for how i treated you with zia. i was being an asshole, and i can recognize that." lynn said, then taking a deep breath. "and i never liked zia like that, i've only liked you!"

emily's expression softened and her body language shifted, her lips almost curling into a smile. "what?"

"i like you, and i didn't stop when me and zia became friends. you're the only person that has made me like this, like a lovestruck idiot. i would get on my hands and knees for you to realize how sorry i am, and i'm basically begging you to forgive me. i only want you." lynn pleaded, and emily tried her hardest to stay pissed at her.

those last 4 words shifted something in emily's mind, she was being truthful.

lynn didn't even register what she said, but she knew it was true. she always did dumb, but mostly good things when she was high on adrenaline.

"do you really mean it?" emily asked, mainly because she was scared lynn was lying for some reason.

"why would i pull you into a closet if i was lying?" lynn smiled, the same smile emily tried so hard not to melt at whenever she'd do it.
