High Valyrian in bold
The sky was dim and the water seemed to be a dark blue. Everyone stood on the rocks as the service commenced. Laena's casket was etched in the shape of a woman with the Velaryon sigil at the bottom. They pushed her casket into the water to be with the other Verlaryons. This was their ritual for their dead, it was meant to represent them returning to their families and where they belong.

All members of House Velaryon and the royal family were in attendance. The air was full of tension between different parties. This was not the place to be acting like this but they did anyway. Laena Velaryon's funeral was supposed to be about honoring her.

Daella stood off to the side with Aemma and Aeven, observing the rest. She saw as Alicent and Criston stared holes into Rhaenyra. She saw the conversation between the King and Daemon. She saw it all.

Her gaze was soon focused on the younger boy approaching her. The Princess narrowed her eyes at him, waiting for him to finish making his way over.

"Hello, sister, how was Highgarden?" Aegon asked when he placed himself in front of her.

"It was beautiful and Arien got a wonderful send off. Have you been on your best behavior like I asked?" She examined him intensely as she waited for his answer.

Aegon let out a scoff at his older sister. "I did not visit Flea Bottom while you were gone. I substituted it for taking flights on Sunfyre."

Aeven threw him a look. "You should have done that a long time ago, uncle." In response to the comment, Aegon stuck out his tongue at his nephew.

"Have you indulge in alcohol while I was away? Do not lie to me." Daella warned as she wanted him to be truthful to her.

Aegon had clear thought all over his face. "I won't say that I didn't have a cup every so often." He spoke the truth to her.

"It is a step in the right direction." The Princess sighed out. It truly was an improvement because before this, the Prince would drink from the morning to the night. It was destructive and she was working to fix it.

"Now go, you idiot" She said to lighten the mood as she jokingly swatted him away.

He rolled his eyes at Daella. "Whatever" His smile quite apparent as he walked away.

Aemma had walked away from her mother to talk to her aunt Helaena. She always found away to make conversation with her.

Aemma found Helaena to be one of the people she desired to be like. She was gentle and beautiful. To her, her aunt was one of the smartest people ever even if others did not see it this way.

She found her near a patch of grass playing with a spider. Aegon and Aemond stood off to the side, engaging in each other's banter as always.

"Hi Helaena" She happily said to announce her presence.

The older Princess turned her head to see her niece and a soft smile formed on her lips. "Hello Aemma"

"What new fella have you found today?" Aemma crouched down to Helaena. Her aunt closely showed her the spider. The younger Princess inspected the creature with genuine curiosity. She did not favor insects as much as Helaena did, but she did love to observe them.

"Its legs are longer than the other spiders I have seen before It also has a brown strip on each of its body." Helaena began to list off her observations and Aemma simply nodded while looking at the spider.

They stayed there observing all the little creatures in silence for a moment before Aemma spoke up.

"When do you think our family will stop acting so cold towards each other?" She said. It was genuine question as Aemma had begun to notice a change in the behaviors of their family members when interacting with one another.
