Author's POVWonyoung let out a long, relieved breath as she finished her exam, leaning back in her chair.
As she gathered her things, she glanced over at Sunghoon, expecting him to be just as eager to escape the room. Instead, she found him slumped over his desk, fast asleep.
Her eyebrow twitched.
Seriously? she thought. He can’t even stay awake for five minutes after the exam? She knew Sunghoon wasn’t exactly the studying type, but this was a new level of laziness.
She sighed, standing up and throwing her bag over her shoulder. Everyone else had already left the room, leaving just the two of them. Wonyoung stared at his sleeping figure for a moment, debating whether to just leave him there.
But, of course, she couldn’t. If he stayed here, he’d probably sleep through his next class or worse—get locked in the classroom overnight.
“Why do I always have to be the responsible one?” she muttered to herself as she walked over to his desk.
At first, she tried a gentle approach, shaking him lightly by the shoulder. “Sunghoon. Sunghoon, wake up.”
Nothing. He didn’t even stir.
Wonyoung frowned and tried again, a little harder this time. “Sunghoon!”
Still nothing.
She crossed her arms, glaring at him. Looking down at his head resting on his arms, she sighed.
She hesitated for a moment, then reached down, grabbed a lock of his hair between her fingers, and gave it a little tug. Not too hard—she wasn’t about to yank it out, she didn't want him to have bald spots yet.
“Sunghoon,” she hissed. “Wake up, or I’m pulling harder.”
Finally, he blinked, slowly lifting his head. His eyes were groggy, and a lazy smile spread across his face as he stretched. “Oh... hey, Wonyoung. How nice of you to wait for me. That’s romantic.”
Wonyoung glared at him, “I stayed behind so you wouldn’t get locked in the classroom, you idiot. And if you keep talking like that, I’ll yank all your hair out.”

It was lunchtime, and Wonyoung was bracing herself. She had barely managed to survive tutoring Sunghoon yesterday, and now she had to deal with the next big challenge—being publicly “lovey-dovey” with him.
Sunghoon, on the other hand, strolled through the cafeteria doors with that same bright, carefree grin plastered on his face. Wonyoung sat at her usual spot in the far corner, hoping no one would notice her.
But, of course, they did.
“There’s my girlfriend!” Sunghoon called out as he marched over to her. People turned their heads, murmuring to each other, eyes widening in shock or amusement. Wonyoung felt her soul leave her body for a moment. This was going to be a disaster.
Sunghoon plopped down beside her, way too close . She scooted away immediately, he draped an arm across the back of her chair, casually leaning in.
“So, lovebird,” he said loudly, “what are we eating today?”
Wonyoung shot him a glare, “We are not eating anything.”
He gave her an exaggerated pout. “Aww, don’t be like that, honeybunch. We’re supposed to be madly in love, remember?”
“I’ll madly shove this sandwich down your throat if you call me ‘honeybunch’ again.”
