After a sudden earthquake in the remote mountain village of Coldwater, a deep underground tunnel is revealed. The townspeople are superstitious and warn against exploring it, claiming the earth itself is cursed. However, a group of treasure hunters, led by an ambitious man named Garrett, sees the tunnel as an opportunity for riches and fame. Ignoring the warnings, they descend into the depths.
At first, the tunnel seems like any other, filled with dust and strange, ancient carvings. But as they venture deeper, they begin to hear strange echoes—footsteps that mimic their own, distorted voices that repeat their conversations but in sinister tones. The deeper they go, the more the tunnel warps reality. Their equipment malfunctions, and their sense of time and direction starts to slip.
Then, one by one, they begin to disappear. The first to vanish is Riley, pulled into a dark crevice by something unseen. The rest of the group hears her screams echoing through the cavern long after she’s gone. The tunnel seems to feed on their fear, growing darker and more oppressive with every step. Garrett realizes too late that they aren’t the first to enter this place—it's a burial ground for ancient horrors, and the tunnel is alive, preying on their minds and bodies.
As Garrett tries to escape, he’s forced to confront the thing that haunts the deepest part of the earth—a presence older than humanity, which uses the echoes of the lost to lure in new victims. He may be able to outrun the echoes, but the darkness below will not let him leave unchanged.
