Scott leaned back on the couch, taking another sip of his cola.

"So you don't remember anything.." he mused, his eyes studying you thoughtfully. "Not even your age? Or where you're from?"

"Oh, I remember my age. I am 18 years old." Winter looked shyly at him.

Scott nodded, jotting down your age in his mind.

"Eighteen, huh? You look a bit younger than that though, if I'm being honest." He commented, his eyes still on you.

He looked you up and down appreciatively, his eyes roaming over your slender figure. Something about you drew him in, making it hard to look away. He quickly shook his head, trying to focus on the task at hand.

"Anyways.. do you remember how old I am?" he asked, a hint of a smirk playing on his lips.

"23 years old." Winter looked shyly at him.

Scott's eyebrows shot up in surprise.

"Damn, you're good. How'd you know that?" he asked, genuinely curious.

"Because your ID fell off from your pocket, Scott." Winter pointed shyly at his ID on his lap.

Scott facepalmed as he realized what you were talking about.

"Oh, right.. my ID." He chuckled sheepishly, picking up the card and pocketing it. "Guess I'm not exactly good at being stealthy."

Winter giggled shyly at his words.

The sound of your giggle sent a wave of warmth through Scott's heart, and he couldn't help smiling.

"Your laugh is adorable, you know that?" he said, unable to stop himself from complimenting you.

My cheeks went rosy pinker shyly at his words.

Scott's heart rate quickened as he saw the rosy hue spreading across your cheeks. He couldn't help thinking it was adorable how easily you blushed.

"Damn.. I didn't think you could get any cuter but here you are." He muttered, his gaze locked on your flushed skin.

He realized he was staring and quickly looked away, clearing his throat awkwardly.

"Anyway.. back to the issue at hand. We need to try and figure out how you ended up here, in this universe. Any ideas?"

"U-um, did you see something odd about how did I ended up here?" Winter looked shyly at him.

Scott thought for a moment, scratching his chin. Suddenly, his eyes widened in recollection.

"Wait.. now that you mention it, I did see something strange. Just before discovering you, there was some kind of.. flashing light. Like a portal or something."

Scott furrowed his brow in thought.

"It was like you just popped out of thin air. The only explanation I can come up with is some kind of magic or inter-dimensional gateway, but I thought those were just stuff from movies and comic books."

Winter nodded agreeably at his words.

Scott leaned back on the couch again, his mind racing.

"I'm not exactly an expert on these things, but maybe there's a way to track down where that portal came from. Or who it came from." He said, more to himself than you.

"I think someone may used dimensional machine to take me away from my world." Winter looked shyly at him.

Scott raised an eyebrow, surprised by your statement.

"Dimensional machine? You think someone used a device to bring you here?" he asked, genuinely intrigued.

Winter nodded shyly at his words.

Scott sat silently for a moment, letting this new information sink in. He had never heard of anything like a "dimensional machine" before, and it sounded like something straight out of a sci-fi movie.

"If that's true, then that means someone actually managed to create some kind of inter-dimensional travel device.." he mused, marveling at the sheer scale of such an invention.

Scott realized in shock when he remembered something familiar.

Suddenly, Scott's expression hardened as realization dawned on him.

"Wait a minute.." he interjected, his voice filled with alarm. "I think I know who could have possibly done this.."

"R-really? Who done it?" Winter looked shyly at him.

Scott gritted his teeth, his jaw clenching angrily.

"There's a genius guy.. more like a mad scientist.. who lives nearby. He's obsessed with creating all sorts of insane gadgets and inventions. If anyone could've built something like a dimensional machine, it'd be him."
