(A/N: Grammarly for the rescue <3)

The week after the practical was filled with restless nights and restless thoughts. Y/N couldn't stop replaying every moment of the exam in her head. The 61 villain points she earned felt impressive—at least, she hoped so. She remembered hearing the scores of a few other examinees on the bus. Her score was double, even triple theirs, but who knew what people at other centers had managed?

"Maybe I went overboard," Y/N muttered to herself, gnawing on her lower lip as she paced her room. A pang of guilt gnawed at her. "What if I destroyed too many of them? Left none for the others? That's not very hero-worthy..."

Her mind drifted to the blonde guy from the bus. He had seemed so confident, grinning like he'd already passed. She couldn't help but wonder how many points he had racked up.

"Y/N, come on! You're overthinking again," her father's voice snapped her out of her spiral as he stood at the doorway of her room, leaning casually against the frame.

"I'm just—what if I messed up?" Y/N sighed, flopping onto her bed. "What if they didn't like how I did it?"

Her mother appeared next to her father, a sympathetic smile on her face. "You did your best. You were amazing. We're proud of you no matter what."

To get her mind off the exam, her parents took her to the arcade. At first, Y/N was reluctant, but the flashing lights and buzzing sounds of the games did distract her, at least for a while.

"You need this," her mother smiled, handing her a token.

Her father soon joined in, saying, "Let's win you something."

And they did. After a few rounds of claw machines and ticket games, her parents teamed up to win her a matching set of cow squishmallows. Y/N laughed, holding one in each hand as she squeezed them together.

"Only the best for our little hero," her dad teased.

As they walked around the arcade, Y/N ran into Hana. It's been a while since they've seen each other to they caught up before she wished Y/N good luck with her results.

And then the waiting resumed.

Finally, one late afternoon, the letter arrived. Y/N was in the living room with her parents when her mom came back, holding an envelope sealed with a red wax stamp with the UA logo on it and gave it to her.

"Go on, open it!" her mother urged, excitement in her voice as she leaned forward against the couch.

Y/N's hands trembled slightly as she tore the seal open. Inside was a folded letter and a small circular disk. She set the disk down on the coffee table, unsure what to make of it, and grabbed the letter. Before she could fully open it—

"HAHA! I AM HERE!"

Y/N gasped, jumping back as a hologram of All Might sprang up from the disk.

"ALL MIGHT?!" she blurted out, her heart hammering in her chest.

Her parents stared wide-eyed, just as surprised as she was.

"Y/N L/N!" All Might's voice boomed, full of energy. "You passed the written exam! Good job!" He gave a thumbs up to the camera "As for the practical, you earned 61 villain points... AND 15 rescue points!"

"Rescue points?" Y/N muttered, her brows furrowing as her mind raced. Her heart raced as she realized it was all part of the test.

Behind All Might, the screen displayed footage of her during the exam, saving the two examinees. Her heart raced as the realization hit her—it was all part of the test. How could she have missed that?! She should have known the rescue points were the reason they included the 0-pointer!

"That's right!" All Might grinned, continuing. "It's not just about fighting! A true hero must save others! You did exactly that. With your combined score of 76, you've earned a place at UA! CONGRATULATIONS, Y/N L/N!"

The hologram flickered and faded, leaving Y/N staring at the now-blank space.

"I... I passed?" she whispered.

"You passed!" her mom cried out, rushing to her side and pulling her into a tight hug. Her dad wasn't far behind, wrapping his arms around them both.

"We knew you could do it, Y/N!" her dad said, his voice trembling with pride. He squeezed her shoulders and shook her playfully. "You're going to UA! Our girl!"

Y/N felt her eyes sting with tears of joy as her parents' arms enveloped her. She had done it. She was in.

After the initial shock wore off, Y/N sat back down with her parents to read through the letter. It stated that she's been accepted, her class, and a student ID number for logging into the UA app. On the app, there was more paperwork to fill out, including questions about her quirk, its drawbacks, any dietary restrictions, and even a hero costume design form.

"Wow, they really thought of everything," Y/N said, scanning the form.

"Of course, they did. UA is no joke," her dad replied with a grin.

Her parents helped her with the paperwork and decided it would be a good idea to include regeneration as part of her quirk since people would notice if she healed after they saw her getting injured. They also brainstormed ideas for her 'quirk's' drawbacks.

They decided to put: High energy consumption, overuse leading to the risk of collapsing, becoming too weak, increased irritability, or distractibility (this gives her an excuse to rest and sneak away to eat after using her kagune too much). And finally, the more she heals, the more energy it drains.

After hours of discussion while filling out the forms, Y/N felt a sense of accomplishment. The stress of the possibility of not getting in now gone.

This time next month, she'll be in UA.
