"It seems my machine isn't working," Dr. Ransley hums, trying to tap into his computer.
"Machine? For a blood draw?" You looked over at him in confusion. "I thought you just need a needle?"
"In traditional cases, yes, but here at the D.M., we have a more specialised technique to reduce dizziness and phantom pain," he chuckles lowly. "Many monsters get scared of needles. You'd be surprised."
"Well... Okay, doctor," you snuggle into the chair. "So what now? Reschedule?"
"Oh, no, this is too important to reschedule. We'll just have to... Resort to other methods." Dr. Ransley picks up a small, thin tube, tucking it into the far side of his mouth. He hooks it up to a vial.
"What are you gonna do?"
"A blood draw, obviously. But with a more inconvenient method," he takes out some alcohol and cotton pads.
"Which is?"
"I'm going to bleed you, using my teeth."
"Um... I thought you aren't allowed to do that? You know, because you're a vampire?"
"Don't be scared, my dear, I know what I am doing," he gently pushes aside your collar. He opens his mouth, sterilizing his sharp vampire teeth. He holds the small tube steady as he reaches your neck. "Hold still, okay?"
You wince once he bites. It was pretty hard, and deep. It hurt more than a tiny little needle, it was almost like you were being stabbed. He gently sucks on your neck, feeding the blood through the tube.
"O-ouch..."
He continues to suck, until his vial was full. Just for the fun of it, he swallows some of your blood before backing away, licking his lips.
"'Ouch'? I barely bit you," he smiles. "You taste great."
"I should report you," you grumble, reaching for your neck.
He stops you quickly. "Ah, ah," he grins. "I have to clean the wound."
As he cleans the bite marks, he hums. "You wouldn't report me, I'm too good of a doctor," he chuckles. "Would you rather a Mault take care of you? That sounds scary, and I'm a Vampire."
"And how often have you bitten people?" You glare.
"Just you, my dear. I'll be frank; we had needles in the event the machine didn't work. But I could just smell how sweet your blood is. I couldn't help myself!"
"Okay, really? That's messed up."
"But you let me~ So what does it matter, hm?" He steps back. "All done, dear."
"Thanks, Dr. Ransley..." you rub your neck. "When will the results be ready?"
"By tomorrow, let's hope. I shall see you in the evening, okay?"
"Alright," you turn towards the door. "I'll see you later, doctor."
"Goodbye my dear~"
