The title is kind of ironic bc the pic is literally Bounsweet beating up Rowlet-
(Again ik but I never get tired of those scenes);-;
BUT that's not the point
Now we shall meet the Healer
TW ; Mentions of murder
-The morning right after the last chapter, same place
8;00AM
Widow's POV (First POV again)
-The sun rises, and I can tell it is bright outside, even if the canopy of leaves about me mainly drowns out the sunlight.
I sit up and stretch. I promised Driftwood that at dawn-now-we would go visit the Healer and see if he'd teach Driftwood. But first, I remind myself, a young Dragon needs a meal.
After a few minutes of searching nearby, I can only come across a few asparagus plants and some Oran berries, which I know would be good for Driftwood. Plus blackberries, or he'll probably complain and cry so loud Necrozma themself would come to see what was going on! I laughed at my own thoughts and floated back to Driftwood.
When I returned, he was already up.
Driftwood - "Are we going to see the healer?" he asked excitedly.
"After breakfast." I replied, setting down some of the food I'd gathered in front of him. As I ate my own meal, he literally devoured his own. HOW?! I thought furiously. He was probably-no, most definitely-excited, but it was still a pretty shocking thing to see.
Driftwood - "Can we go now?"
I smiled. "Not yet. Give me a second to eat at a sensible speed."-
Only one Dreepy in my head rockets feels so odd. But I guess I must get used to it or find another Dreepy around the same age as Driftwood.
I fly silently through the undergrowth, seeing if can find the Healer's den. It's in the darkest part of Melemele's forest, woven expertly with willows and an accessible area of water from a stream. I haven't gone there in many, many years, and now I wonder if the same Healer is still there.
When I traveled there once, Vivillon was the Healer, with a Kirlia at her side as an apprentice. I'm not quite sure if Vivillon is dead, but I would understand. He would be many seasons older than me, and I would understand.
Kirlia is probably the only Psychic the can be trusted. She's not all lofty and suspiciously tranquil. She actually shares a lot of personality traits with Dragons, but at the same time she cares about every Pokemon she can. It's a complicated personality, but a great one.
I find the Healer's den, the same way as before. I poke my head inside through the linchen shrouding the entrance.
Inside, I see the stream around the side, and an empty room. There are shelves with moss beds and a few beds hanging from the ceiling. I noticed quite a few had young Pokemon-I surmise they must be orphans-in them.
From another linchen curtain, a Gardevoir steps in. I recognize her immediately-that she must be the Healer. "Widow?" she asked.
I instantly balk at this. She remembers me?
"Yes...it's me." Driftwood flew out of my head rocket and onto the ground. "What happened to the Healer Vivillon?"
Gardevoir - "He passed away while saving an orphaned Deerling a season ago." I watched her gaze flow to a Deerling in a nest, which was bloody but bandaged with leaves.
"Poor thing...I hope he gets better."
Gardevoir - "He will. I've determined he will make a full recovery with just a limp." she turned her eyes back to me and Driftwood. "Did you need something? I'm guessing this isn't a social call."
I almost scoff. I'm pretty sure no Healer gets social calls. "Right. Driftwood has something to ask you."
Gardevoir - "Alright. What is it, Driftwood?"
Driftwood - "I want to be a Healer!" he exclaimed.
