The moon hung high in the night sky, casting a soft glow over the quiet outdoor café where Y/N sat across from Thor. They had chosen a secluded corner, surrounded by twinkling fairy lights and lush greenery that created a magical atmosphere. The air was warm, filled with the scent of blooming jasmine and the sound of distant laughter.
Y/N couldn't help but smile as she watched Thor, his blue eyes shining with excitement as he recounted stories of his adventures. He animatedly described a recent battle with a group of rogue frost giants, his expressions shifting from seriousness to hilarity. Y/N felt her heart flutter at his passion and enthusiasm, and she loved the way he could make even the most mundane stories feel larger than life.
"You should have seen it, Y/N! They thought they could defeat me with their icy powers!" He laughed, slamming his fist on the table, and causing her drink to jiggle. "But little did they know, I am the God of Thunder!"
Y/N chuckled, shaking her head in disbelief. "Only you could make facing off against frost giants sound like a comedy routine, Thor."
He leaned forward, resting his elbows on the table, his expression softening. "It is easy to joke when I have the most incredible woman beside me."
Y/N's cheeks flushed at his compliment, and she felt a warmth spread through her. She had always admired his strength and bravery, but it was moments like these—when he was vulnerable and open—that truly captured her heart. She felt a surge of affection and longing wash over her, and for a brief moment, the world around them faded away.
As Thor continued to talk, Y/N's gaze drifted to his lips. They were full and inviting, and she couldn't shake the feeling of anticipation that had been building throughout the evening. She had been waiting for this moment—the moment when she could finally close the distance between them and share a kiss that had been so long in the making.
"Y/N?" Thor's voice broke through her thoughts, and she quickly looked up, meeting his curious gaze.
"Hmm?" she replied, trying to shake off her daydreaming.
"Are you with me?" He grinned, the playful glint in his eyes making her heart race.
"Of course! I'm right here," she assured him, a soft smile playing on her lips.
The conversation flowed easily, but the tension between them was palpable, electric. Each stolen glance felt charged, and the lingering touches when their hands brushed against each other sent sparks flying. Every moment felt like they were standing on the precipice of something incredible, something they had both been yearning for.
As the night wore on, the café became quieter, the surrounding lights glowing softly as if the world had dimmed to highlight their intimate bubble. Y/N could feel her heart racing in her chest, each beat echoing her anticipation. She glanced at Thor, who was still engaged in recounting tales of his travels, but she could sense his awareness of the unspoken tension lingering between them.
"Thor," she said softly, interrupting him mid-sentence. "Can I ask you something?"
He paused, tilting his head slightly, his expression curious. "Anything, Y/N."
"Do you ever think about... us?" The question hung in the air, heavy with meaning. She held her breath, unsure of how he would respond.
A flicker of surprise crossed Thor's face, quickly followed by a warm smile. "Of course. You are not merely a passing thought in my mind; you are a cherished part of my life." His words sent a thrill through her, and she felt her heart swell with hope.
"Then why...?" She trailed off, unsure of how to voice her feelings, but the longing in her chest pushed her forward. "Why haven't we kissed yet?"
Thor's smile faded slightly as he leaned closer, the warmth of his breath sending shivers down her spine. "I suppose the moment has never been right. Or perhaps I have been waiting for the perfect moment."
