~ YUJIN'S POV ~

"I'm going now." I say, looking at Chan who's pouring himself a bowl Cereal.

I had just finished getting ready for a date with V, on the one day off I had since we started preparing for our comeback.

Chan looked up from his cereal, spoon halfway to his mouth. His eyes flickered over my outfit for a second. "Yeah? You're heading out now?"

"Yeah," I nodded, adjusting my jacket. I could feel the awkwardness creeping in, but I tried to ignore it. "He's picking me up in like five minutes."

He just nodded, not saying much. It was like he was trying to play it cool, but I could see right through him. He wasn't thrilled about this, even though he'd been the one to push me to go.

"Have fun," Chan said after a moment, though it sounded more like he was forcing it out.

I bit my lip, feeling the weird vibe in the air. I grabbed my phone from the counter and looked at him. "Thanks... I guess."

He looked like he wanted to say something more but held back, just giving me a small nod as he took another bite of his cereal.

I stood there for a second longer, feeling like I should say something else too, but I didn't know what. So, instead, I just gave him a small smile and turned to leave, my heart feeling conflicted as I walked out the door.

As I waited for Taehyung, I couldn't stop thinking about why Chan would want me on this date when he told me he was jealous.

I guess I should take this opportunity to see the differences between the two. Because I knew
sooner or later, I was going to have to pick one of them.

Taehyung's car pulled up a minute later, he rolled down the window and gave me that classic boxy smile of his. "You look amazing," he said, his eyes crinkling at the corners.

"Thanks," I smiled back, feeling my heart flutter a little. He always had that effect on me. I got in the car, and he leaned over to kiss me on the cheek, his lips warm against my skin.

This was nice. No drama, like Chan.

"Ready for a fun night?" he asked, starting the engine again.

"Yeah, definitely," I replied.

As we drove, Taehyung filled the car with his usual lighthearted chatter, telling me about his day and a funny thing that had happened with the other BTS members. I laughed along, feeling myself relax a little more with each passing minute.

But in the back of my mind, I couldn't help but wonder what Chan was doing now—probably still in the kitchen, finishing his cereal, maybe thinking about me too.

We pulled up to the restaurant, and Taehyung got out, quickly walking around to open the door for me. "Such a gentleman," I teased.

He grinned. "Only for you."

As we walked into the restaurant, the cozy vibe wrapped around us, with dim lighting and soft music playing in the background. He always picked a restaurant that we wouldn't be easily spotted and recognized at.

We were seated at a small table, and Taehyung's eyes sparkled as he scanned the menu. "So, what are you thinking? I heard their pasta is amazing."

"Sounds good to me!" I said, feeling a little more at ease. The waiter came over to take our orders, and Taehyung ordered with that charming confidence of his, all smiles and energy.

As we waited for our food, Taehyung kept the conversation flowing effortlessly.

But then I thought about Chan—how different he was from Taehyung. And I didn't know if that was bad thing. They both had their qualities.
