Time passed, and as Seungcheol returned home, the familiar scent of something delicious greeted him as soon as he stepped through the door. His stomach growled as he followed the aroma into the kitchen, where he found Jeonghan busily preparing lunch.
Jeonghan, wearing an apron and focused on the food, didn’t notice Seungcheol standing at the doorway with a small smile on his face.
"You’re cooking again?" Seungcheol asked, leaning against the doorframe.
Jeonghan turned around, slightly startled, before flashing a small smile. "Yeah, I figured you’d be hungry after school. Plus, I’m feeling a bit better now."
Seungcheol raised an eyebrow. "You should still be resting, you know."
"I know, but I can’t just lie in bed all day. Besides, I thought you’d appreciate some homemade food," Jeonghan replied, stirring the pot.
Seungcheol’s smile grew wider as he stepped closer. "It smells amazing. Thanks, Han."
Jeonghan glanced over his shoulder. "Don’t thank me yet. Let’s see if you still say that after you taste it."
Jeonghan glanced at Seungcheol, noticing his slightly disheveled appearance from a long day at school. "You should go take a bath first. I’ll have lunch ready by the time you’re done," he said, turning back to the stove.
Seungcheol nodded, realizing how tired and messy he felt. "Alright, I’ll be quick. Don’t eat without me," he teased with a grin.
Jeonghan just waved him off. "Hurry up before the food gets cold," he called out as Seungcheol walked away toward the bathroom.
As Seungcheol disappeared down the hallway, Jeonghan smiled to himself, feeling a sense of comfort in their growing routine. He quickly set the table, carefully arranging the dishes, making sure everything looked perfect.
After taking a quick shower, Seungcheol came back to the dining area, feeling refreshed. He sat down at the table, noticing the warm and inviting spread Jeonghan had prepared.
As they began eating, Jeonghan glanced at Seungcheol, a small smile playing on his lips. "So, how was your day at school?" he asked casually, his voice soft but curious.
Seungcheol paused for a moment, recalling the events of the day. He didn't want to mention Jane's odd behavior or the teasing from his friends. Instead, he focused on what had really been on his mind all day. "It was... alright," he said, shrugging. "But I couldn’t really focus much."
Jeonghan raised an eyebrow, concerned. "Why not? Something bothering you?"
Seungcheol chuckled lightly, shaking his head. "Nah, nothing bad. I was just thinking about you... and yesterday." He looked at Jeonghan with a soft smile, remembering their playful water fight in the rain.
Jeonghan blinked in surprise, a faint blush creeping onto his cheeks. "Me? Why?" he asked, trying to sound nonchalant but clearly flustered.
Seungcheol smirked. "I guess you're more distracting than I thought," he teased.
Jeonghan rolled his eyes, though a small smile tugged at his lips. "You’re impossible," he muttered, but there was a warmth in his tone.
The two continued eating, the light-hearted mood lingering between them as they fell into an easy conversation about their day.

After finishing their meal, Seungcheol noticed Jeonghan quietly slipping away from the table to start on some household chores. He saw him tidying up the living room and picking up some stray items. Without thinking twice, Seungcheol got up and joined him.
