Reader's POV:

You and Donnie had been friends for about a month now. And the thing that sucks about it is that you still didn't know what he looked like! You'd never met him face to face. Well, technically you had, but you'd never seen his face. The truth is, you'd never actually hung out like real friends. You see, there was this science fair at your school, and he asked if you could enter it for him. One afternoon, you were sitting on the curb, trying to think of an idea for the fair. You were never that good at science though. He must have heard you groan, because you heard a voice coming from the storm drain next to you. He said he would help you with your project on one condition. That you would get him all the supplies he needed, and that you would enter another project (One that he would make) in your name. You asked him why he wouldn't just turn it in himself, but he just started rambling on about probability and statistics. So when you gave him the supplies, you just slipped it down the storm grate. It had been a month since you started helping him and, even though you hadn't seen him face to face, you liked the little chats you and him shared. From them, you could sense his personality and you have to admit, you kinda had a crush on him. His voice was adorkable and the way he talked told you that he had a gap in between his teeth which, to you, was also pretty cute. And every once and a while you would hear him stutter, which would make you blush a little.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You were in you room, on your bed, reading some book about romance and adventure. From the corner of your eye, you saw your phone blink. You picked it up and flipped it opened. It was Donnie. He'd texted you. You clicked the little icon of a turtle shell, that was him, and read the text to your self. "I need some supplies. Can you get them?" Under the message was a link. You opened it and saw a page full of machinery and crap. You texted him back. "Yeah, I'll bring it down tonight." You read out loud.
That night, you went shopping for all the stuff Donnie wanted. You were a regular at that store now, so the cashier gave up asking you why you needed all this stuff. You didn't know what he was making with it either, but you went along with it anyway. You got to the storm grate and waited for the signal. "Coo-coo!" You heard a familiar voice from the shadows. You smiled and slid the machinery through the grate. "Thanks (Y/N)." "No problem." You smiled at him. Even though he was shrouded in darkness, you knew he could still see you.

-------Fast Forward to a Few Months Later------- After Donnie finished his project, he gave it to you to submit. You did so, but instead of using your name, like he asked, you said it was make by your cousin who goes to a different school. You said that his school doesn't have science fairs but he wanted to enter one. You submitted the project under the name of Donatello.
Donnie said to wait until the judges looked around, to introduce the project. He said he wanted it to be a surprise. He gave you some note cards to read in case the project got in the top ten. When he handed the project to you, on a giant platform (With the project on top of it), it was covered by a white sheet. The sheet was still covering it. As much as you wanted to, you didn't disobey his wishes. You didn't look underneath the tarp. Only the judges could see it.-------At the Science Fair------- You stood next to your project as the principal stood up on the stage and announced the ten finalists. "Robert Jones. Lauren Rannet. Stacy Albural." You watched the people come up the stage with their projects. "Donatello." Your eyes widened as your friends name was called. You snapped out of your daze and grabbed the project, putting it on a wheel barrow, dragging it up on the stage. After the finalists were announced, it was time for the speeches. You listened, and waited patiently, as your peers gave mediocre speeches about their projects. You were, of course, last. You shuffled for the note cards in your pocket and went up to the front of the stage, pulling the wheelbarrow along with you. You were a nervous wreck! You weren't use to presenting in front of this many people. You took a deep breath and started speaking into the microphone. "Transportation has always been a difficulty in our society. Not just because of economic problems, but also the environmental waist we're putting our world in danger of. What it there was a way to go from place to place, without using up all the fossil fuels the earth gives us? I know what your thinking, trains and buss's powered by the sun. No. This is much easier and more efficient." You looked at the next line of the note card. -Remove the tarp.- You turned to the project and grabbed the sheet. And with a swift twirl, you unveiled Donnies project. You heard the crowd gasp, and you knew why. You scaled your eyes up the contraption. It's grey, skeletal machinery, exterior was plastered with metals and screws. The glass dome, on top, was whirring as electricity was visibly shocking the walls inside it. You stared at it for a few more seconds before looking back at the note cards in your hands. "This machine will bridge the gap between science, and transportation. Using the waist products of living creatures, we will be able to teleport small things, like books and even small animals." -Demonstration instructions below.- Listed below this line was instructions on how to use the invention. You took off your bracelet and placed it on the platform underneath the dome. "I will now demonstrate this machines abilities." You said as you set the coordinates and pressed the button on the side of the machine. You heard and electrical WHIZZ and saw your bracelet disappear. You lifted your arm up and opened your hand. Silver streaks (Accompanied by more whizzing) flared above your palm, and suddenly (With a popping sound) the bracelet appeared in mid-air and fell into your hand. The crowd gasped. You slid your bracelet back on your hand and started to read the note cards again. "Of course this is just a prototype. But with this technology, scientists can advance on it so this new idea can be used for the people. This will be a new way of transporting goods and/or, people. This. Is. The FUTURE!." You said, raising your arms into the air. Suddenly the audience burst into applause. You smiled widely as you felt the metaphorical warmth of the audience flow over your body. The principal walked up next to you and ushered you to sit back with your classmates in the back of the stage. "I will announce the winner after the voting." After a few seconds, everyone went to the voting booths. You sat down with the finalists as they pestered you with questions. "How'd you come up with such a brilliant idea?" One said. "Yeah, how'd you do it?" Said another. "Oh, it wasn't me. My cousin did the project. He just has stage fright. And he got sick. So he couldn't come." You laughed nervously. They all smiled and started asking you more questions. After a while you zoned out and started looking around the room, since there was nothing else to do. From the corner of your eye you saw two eyes, staring at you from the air vent at the other side of the room. [Donnie!] You escaped from the crowd and scooted over to the vent. "Donnie, is that you?" You whispered. "Hey (Y/N). How'd you know I was here?" He whispered back. "I saw your eyes." You smiled at him. "Did I do a good job?" You asked. "Yes! Thank you again, by the way." He paused. "The "This is the future part" was really convincing." You could hear sarcasm in his voice. You giggled and put your hand on the grate. "Did I do well enough to get a reward?" He didn't answer. "You know, get to see you face to face?" You reiterated. He paused a moment, then spoke up, "M-maybe..." You could tell he was nervous. "Don't worry." You said, smiling at him. You and Donnie talked for a few minutes before the principal came back on stage. "The votes have been tallied!" He opened the envelope in his hand and pulled out a slip of paper. "The winner of this years science fair is..." He paused for dramatic effect. "Donatello!" Your felt a wide grin appear on your face. The principal looked your way and beckoned you to come up. You did so and stood next to him as a custodian came up as well, holding a trophy (About the size of two books stacked on top of each other) shaped like a bubbling beaker of liquid. You could feel your cheeks turn bright pink (And heat up) as you accepted the award and smiled at the audience, who were all, taking pictures of you with their phones. Before you had gone up the the stage to claim your award, Donnie handed you a little piece of purple paper. (You hadn't looked at it yet, because you were occupied with the science fair). Right now, you were at the water fountain, leaning on one of the lockers. You took out the paper and read it to yourself, silently.

"(Y/N),
Meet me in room 413 at 7:00pm. If you want.
~Donatello"

You grinned and raised an eyebrow. [Why does he wanna see me tonight?] You gasped as a thought popped into your head. [What if he wants to show me what he looks like?!] You widened your grin and gripped the piece of paper with both hands, excitement pouring through your veins. Metaphorically that is.
It was about 7 and you were walking though the halls with a paper bag in your hand. You climbed the stairs to the fourth floor, and went to room 13. You slowly opened the door and walked it, closing it behind you. You looked around, hoping to see him, when your gaze fell on a hooded figure sitting in a chair, back to you. "D-donnie?" You said a little nervously. He turned to you, hood covering his face. "(Y/N)!" A familiar voice said, as he stood up and walked over to you. You smiled. "Oh! I have something for you!" You said as you remembered something. You lifted the bag, in your hands, and reached out so he could take it. He, hesitantly, gripped the bag, his hands brushing over yours for a brief moment. You blushed and let go of the bag. He looked into it and pulled out it's contents. He lifted it up and stared at its shiny, silver, reflecting metal. It was the trophy. He ran his gloved hand up the beaker at the top of it. "Why are you giving this to me?" He inquired. "Because it's yours. You won the contest. I shouldn't keep it all to myself." You touched his long brown coat. "Why are you wearing this?" You looked up at his shadowed face. He backed up a little. "Y-you know why." He looked away at the ground. You stepped closer to him and reached out your arms. "Come on, please? I promise I won't laugh or anything!" You begged. "It's not laughing I'm worried about." He said solemnly. You moved closer to him, so that you were a few inches away, and puppy dog eyed him. After a few seconds he gave in. He lowered his head. "Alright..." He said as he put his hands on the hood and, slowly, pushed it off, revealing to you a purple mask wrapped around his dull green head. His eyes were opened but he was looking away. After a few seconds he started to blush and you realized you were staring at him like some kind of spectacle. You felt a smile perk up your lips and you looked up at him. You grabbed the collar of his coat and pulled it down so that his jacket started to fall off. He looked at you with an air of surprise as you pulled the coat down his torso, making it fall to the floor. "W-what're you doing?!" He said, backing up a little. "What? I got to see your face, now can't I see the rest of you?" You said jokingly. "So... You're not scared?" He looked down at you with wide eyes. "Why would I be scared?" You saw him blush a little and smile, showing the gap in his teeth. [I knew it!] "So, what do you wanna to now?" You looked around the room for something to occupy yourselves with. Your eyes wavered over a laptop and a projector on a table across the room. "Ooh I know!" You said excitedly as you grabbed his hand and pulled him over to the laptop.
You Qd up the movie and turned on the projector (Pointing it at the ceiling). You layed down next to Donnie on the floor and stared up at the projection as the movie started.
After the movie ended you got up and stretched out your arms, yawning. Donnie got up and stood next to you. "Cool movie huh?" You asked, looking at him. "Yeah." He said scratching the back of his head. You looked up at the clock on the wall above his head. -10:30- "Oh crap, It's late! I gotta go. Sorry Donnie." You looked at him with a sad expression. "It's okay. Would you like me to walk you home?" He asked. "Sure." You said, taking his hand, leading him out of the school.
You walked for about 30 minutes, talking about whatever flowed into the conversation. Donnie walked you up to the front door, of your house, and you said your goodbyes. As he started to walk away, you grabbed his hand and pulled him back. He was inches from your face. You blushed. "S-sorry." You backed up a little, but Donnie grabbed your arms and pulled you back in, pressing his lips against yours. Your eyes widened and he pulled away from the kiss, backing away from you. "I-I'm so sorry!" He said quickly. "I have to go." turned on his heel and started to walk away. You gripped his shell and turned him around so he was facing you. You got up on your tippy toes (Because he's like 2 heads taller then you) and pulled him into another kiss, longer and more passionate then the last. You felt your hands up his arms and rested your arms on his shell, twirling the ends of his mask between your fingers. He placed his hands, lightly, on your waist and pulled you closer so your bodies were touching. After a few minutes you pulled away so you could breath. "W-wow." He said in a quiet voice. "Yeah." You said back. You gently held his hands in yours, as you gazed up into his ruby red eyes.
