''Athena wait- ''

I didn't. Alec was yelling my way from behind my back, but the moment the car stopped in front of the building I was out, running with everything I had left in me.

But what caught my attention and raised my worry was that Ace is pacing in a circle in front of the building with a freaking gun in his hand.

Ace is armed and that took me by surprise. I have never seen my brother holding a weapon. My father would have his head for this. And that raised my worries to a whole new level.

I rushed to him, my head spinning and my body burning. As soon as he noticed me his eyes widened.

''What the hell are you doing here? '' He yelled, taking a look at the car behind me '' Who did you come with?''

'' Where is he, Ace? "

I pushed him, my fists colliding with his chest, but he didn't even flinch, guarding the door from me on purpose.

'' Get out of my way, Ace '' I warned him. I didn't feel like myself at that moment as if something possessed me. What if it's too late?

Ace didn't say anything nor did he move away from my path. He caught my wrist the next time I made an attempt to push him away, squeezing firmly, and pushing me back with force as proof that he would not grant me access.

Then I heard a recharging of a gun from behind. A massive figure hoovering over me behind my back as a shield. Effective enough to catch my brother's attention.

'' Get away from the door, boy '' Alec's voice at that moment sounded no less threatening than Dominic's, and in principle, Alec is the softer one between them.

Ace shuddered, moving his gaze on me. Squeezing the gun in his hand "Who is this man Athena? You came here with him?''

Alec is on the edge of losing patience, and so am I. Something bad is happening behind these doors, I can feel it. I stare at him, begging with my eyes for him to choose to stand behind me this time. I begged him, but nothing.

Ace clenched his jaw, shifting her gaze to Alec behind me before looking back at me  ''You are a traitor, Athena'' he spit out '' A fucking traitor ''

''Shut your mouth before I shut it for you'' Alec hiss from behind me.

Ace would not voluntarily grant me access, I see that. His eyes are just as cold as his name. And that left me no other choice. Not when so much is hanging on the line.

I turned to Alec, nodding. It's like Alec was just waiting for the green light, stepping forward, and before Ace even had a chance to react,  Alec struck his fist into his face. I hid with my hands, hearing only his body falls unconscious on the floor.

It's like a part of me broke, but I buried it deep inside together with the guilt I'm feeling. I circled my brother's body on the ground, running inside while Alec followed behind.

The more steps I make the more this horrific sound is getting louder. As if something is breaking mixed with strange noises and sounds coming from the inside of the restaurant.

As I entered I was shocked by the picture I found inside.

My father with his back toward me, climbing on top of a man, punching him mercilessly while hitting his head on the ground repeatedly. It seemed as if the man was almost unconscious, his legs did not move nor did he fight back.
