Eurocentric standards

I am a young 14 year old, extremely conscious, and hella black and proud.

I've just finally learn to accept the fact that I am not the basic standards of beauty and don't have the features of the girls who get praised on social media for their appearance.

I have dark melanin in my skin, and my hair has been chemically straightened ( bc my mom doesn't want for me to have the big chop so that I can have long hair for graduatin pics 😂😂) but I plan on dreading it in college.

I am literally so MOTHERFUCKING SICK OF PEOPLE CONVINCING ALL OF US THAT EUROCENTRIC FEATURES ARE THE EPITOME OF BEAUTY.

No one ever realizes it, but when you look at someone and say "She is gorgeous" she has a straight "button" nose, never a wider nose or a kinda curved nose. Or when you see people getting praised for having pale or milky white skin. These are all Eurocentric features that we just have been naturally conditioned to believe what is attractive.

ITS THE 21st GODDAMN CENTURY GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR ASSES AND ACCEPT THE FACT THAT NOT EVERYONE CAN FIT INTO A BEAUTY STANDARD SO WE MIGHT AS WELL EMBRACE EACH OTHER AND STOP PRAISING ON ONE TYPE OF GIRL.
