In Switzerland,
In the hotel room,
Vridhi glanced at her watch, a hint of urgency in her voice.
Vridhi:- Ashvik jaldi kijiye late ho jayega.
(Ashvik, hurry up! We're going to be late.)
Ashvik:- Ha kar raha hu par je bag ki chain hi band koni ho rahi se.
(Yeah, I am trying, but this bag's zipper is not closing.)
Vridhi:- Hatiye mai karti hu,aapse kuch nahi hota.
(Move aside, I'll do it. You can't do anything.)
With a determined sigh, she stepped forward, her fingers deftly working the zipper as if it were a puzzle to solve. After a few moments, she successfully closed the bag, the sound of the zipper sliding shut a small victory.
Finally ready, they made their way down the corridor, the faint smell of fresh linens lingering in the air. As they walked, Ashvik suddenly felt a chill. He turned his head instinctively, sensing someone behind them, but the corridor was empty, just the quiet echo of their footsteps. Shaking off the unease, he followed Vridhi as they checked out.
Once outside, they hopped into a waiting taxi. The cool mountain air rushed in as the door closed, but Ashvik couldn't shake the strange feeling. As they drove through the winding streets, the picturesque Swiss scenery snow-capped mountains and charming chalets flashed by.
In the rearview mirror, Ashvik caught a glimpse of a figure. A flicker of anxiety rippled through him as he noticed someone trailing the taxi. He tried to focus on the beautiful landscape, but the figure lingered in his mind.
Vridhi, sensing his distraction, turned toward him with concern,
Vridhi:- Kya hua?Aap pareshan lag rahe hai.
(What's wrong? You seem worried.)
Ashvik's brow furrowed slightly, a crease forming as he struggled to mask his unease. He felt a knot tightening in his stomach, not wanting to burden her with his thoughts.
Ashvik:- Kuch na bus kaam ke baare mai soch raha tha.
(It's nothing, I was just thinking about work.)
Vridhi:- Kya kaam?
( What work?)
Ashvik:- Thaare ko toh yaad hai hum jhoot bolkar aaye the ki hum meeting ke waste ja rahe hai par kaisi meeting humne toh koi meeting na ki.
(Remember, we lied about coming here for a meeting, but we didn't actually attend one.)
Vridhi:- Maine pehle hi kaha tha jhoot mat bolo ab bhugto.
(I told you not to lie, now deal with the consequences.)
She turned her attention to the window, but Ashvik's focus remained on the car behind them.
Just then, Aarushi sent photos of Kiki and Kuku. The mood lightened as Vridhi showed Ashvik the pictures.
Vridhi:- Aww,kitne cute lag rahe hai dono.
(Aww, they look so cute.)
she gushed, her heart swelling with love as she looked at children's beaming faces on the screen.
Ashvik smiled too, his earlier worry momentarily forgotten as he looked at the photo of Kuku and Kiki.
