In the bustling neighborhood where childhood dreams and rivalries intertwined, two names stood out, Yoon Chaeyoung and Han Seojun.
They had known each other from the moment they could toddle, they were frenemies-partners in mischief yet rivals in spirit.
Chaeyoung, with her studious yet cheerfull nature had always been the responsible one, often pulling Seojun out of trouble-whether it was getting caught by a teacher for mischief or tripping during a race.
Their lives further intertwined as neighbors , their families sharing laughter and frustrations over the years.
Ranked third in Saebom high, Chaeyoung balanced academics and family, working at Yoon's Chicken House, the quirky eatery her father opened after a turbulent job loss.
Chaeyoung's home was a whirlwind of laughter and chaos, her father Yoon Hyun Tae, a lovable goof who turned their kitchen into an experimental fried chicken lab, her younger brother Chanyoung causing ruckus and often getting into trouble with his antics but Chaeyoung never wavered in her role as the responsible older sister and their uncle Sangwoo adding to their family's comedic flair. Chaeyoung majority of the time felt like the only sane member of the Yoon household.
Meanwhile, Seojun's mother often stopped by to chat with Chaeyoung's mother, Kim Yoon Hee, about everything from parenting woes to the latest gossip.
On the other hand , Han Seo Jun, the free spirited dreamer frequently finding himself in trouble, his charm leading him to precarious situations. Although rude to people he dislikes, he is very caring , protective and kind to his friends and family.
He tends to have difficulty expressing his emotions. He acts tough in front of others but is actually sensitive and easily flustered.
Seo Jun supported by his caring mother often found solace in Chaeyoung's steadfast presence, despite their competitive banter.
As they entered high school tides began to shift. The tragedy of Se Yeon's death cast a long shadow over their circle, driving a wedge between Lee Suho and Seo Jun.
Chaeyoung caught in the middle became the pacemaker ,striving to mend the fragile threads of friendship between them.
Thier lives change completely when Lim Jukyung, a girl who concealed her insecurities with layers of makeup enters.
Seo Jun starts to think that he has started taking an interest in Lim Jukyung, uncertain about his feeling towards Jukyung he slowly starts to realize that the person he actually admires has been by his side all along...
