It's finally spring break and I have absolutely no plans except chilling with my girl and doing nothing. I have been so busy these last few weeks so I just want to relax for a change. Our coaches have been nice enough to let us have the break with no practice and I plan on taking full advantage of their niceties. I sleep in till almost nine Monday morning before finally crawling out of my bed and dragging myself to the shower. I get out of the shower and I'm drying off my hair when I hear my monitor beep in the other room. I quickly throw on some sweatpants and head downstairs to get something to eat. Walking downstairs, I feel my phone vibrate in my hands. I answer my girl's call with a cheery, "Good morning Ollie girl!" she grumbles a hello in response.
"When are you coming over?" I ask
"Umm I can't come over right now my parents are both at the hospital. But the new nanny is coming over soon. I can come over at like 11 though. Do you want to come over instead?"
"Yeah, I'll be over there in fifteen."
She says goodbye then hangs up and I go into the kitchen to grab some quick breakfast. My mom texted me earlier to tell me that she had gone to work and my dad came into my room earlier to tell me the same. I grab a packet of oatmeal and put it in the microwave before cutting up some strawberries and adding it to my warmed up oatmeal. After eating, I quickly brush my teeth and run a comb through my hair before pulling on a black shirt and a navy blue sweatshirt because it's still cold outside. I slip on my shoes before walking over to my girlfriend's house and knocking on her door. A second later, Isabella, her younger sister opens the door. She smiles animatedly and says, "Hi Charlie! You can come in! Do you want to see my new dress? Mommy got it for me because I just lost another tooth!"
"That's awesome Isa! You can definitely show me your dress." I tell her walking inside. She runs up the stairs to grab it and I walk into the living room to see my girl sitting on the couch blowing raspberries on Sofia's tummy and Sofia laughing uncontrollably because of it. I feel a smile start to form on my face as I walk further into the room and sit down next to her. Sofia sees me and starts to reach to me to which I respond by taking her in my lap. She smiles at me and claps her hands on my cheeks before giving me a big slobbery kiss all over my face. I laugh before taking her away from my face and laying her on my lap where she curls up into a ball and starts to play with the toy laying by my thigh.
"The nanny should be here soon so then we can actually do something." Ollie says standing up off the couch and grabbing her sippy to bring back to the kitchen. Isabella comes back down with a new dress on and gives me a mini fashion show explaining all the different parts of the dress and why it's so special to her. Ol comes back and sits down back where she was and leans her head against my shoulder and says, "What are we going to do today?"
"Well I wanna chill and I wanna go out and do something fun and whatever else you can think of that you wanna do." I tell her
She gives me an "OK" before pulling out her phone when she gets a text from someone. She stands up declaring that the nanny is here and walks to the front door to greet her. Almost an hour later Ollie's explained almost everything about these kids including the time they were born which I have no idea why the nanny would need to know that but I'm not going to judge her. We finally leave Isabella, Aurora, Emma, and Sofia in the clutches of the nanny and walk to my house. Ollie decides that we should have a chill day so we go into my theater and I pick out a movie while she gets blankets and snuggles into the couch. I choose a random superhero movie and walk over to where she is and take half of the blanket to spread over my legs.
We're halfway through the movie when the doorbell echoes through the house. I get up and walk to the door with Ollie trailing behind me. When I open the door, I am not prepared for who I see on the other side.
