"So you mean to tell me... That there's a demon in the demon slayers corps?" A man with bright, deadly red eyes and wavy black hair questioned.
This was Muzan Kibutsuji, the king of demons.
"... Yes." Akaza replied knowing full well how he would react to this information.
"And this said demon... Is capable of attacking an upper rank without its notice?" Muzan finally put the vials of liquid herbs and chemicals down.
"... Yes." Akaza repeated as Muzan's stern gaze fell directly on him.
"And what do you suppose this says about yourself?" Muzan questioned as Akaza winced slightly at his tone.
"Why isn't it dead, Akaza? Why is this demon still a threat?" Muzan continued as Akaza struggled to find an answer.
"Answer me. Why did you not take care of it immediately if you saw it as a threat?" His gaze hardened on Akaza as he clenched his fist.
No matter what his answer was, it was clear he wouldn't be able to get away unscathed.
"I... I apologize, I am a failure. I-" "You're testing my patience, that was not what I asked." Muzan cut him off as a mushy long creature appeared behind him.
"... It was fast, more than me. But it seemed to be tiring itself out." Akaza swallowed his pride and admitted that the demon was faster than him.
"If it was tired then it should've been easy to get rid of." Muzan pointed out. "Or have you become so utterly useless that you can't even do that?"
"I have no excuse. The sun was rising and it wouldn't let up, I was selfish and withdrew first." Akaza explained, bracing for impact for what was coming.
And just as he had expected, the creature struck him, ripping half his head and his left arm off in the matter of seconds.
"I've had enough of this. Is this demon a threat?" Muzan questioned, his eyes narrowing at Akaza.
"Yes, sire." Akaza responded.
"Haa... Call the other moons. We'll be having a meeting on how to eliminate this threat." Muzan ordered with a sigh while massaging his temple.
"All of them?" Akaza tone was surprised as he regenerated his arm and head.
"Yes, since you're all so utterly useless." Muzan scorned at Akaza.
"Set the meeting date for next week. And until then search of that demon." Muzan instructed going back to mixing the liquid Vails and experimenting.
"Find out whether they are residing in the corps or not and how much information they have given Ubuyashiki." Muzan added.
"Understood. Then what shall I do with the search of the Blue Spider Lily?" Akaza glanced up at Muzan who immediately glared at him.
"You haven't made any progress in finding the Blue Spider Lily either, have you? You're utterly worthless." Muzan belittled Akaza as he looked down.
"You may put the search for the Blue Spider Lily in hold for now. Eliminating the traitor is first priority." Muzan informed as Akaza nodded.
The reason Muzan was putting this traitor as first priority at the moment when he usually would not give a damn.
Was the fact that it could matched an higher upper moons speed and attack one without notice.
And their might be more where this demon surpassed an uppermoon which they didn't know of. Aka lack of information.
And Akaza knew that part of the reason was that this demon had also broken out of Muzan's control.
Now there was three already and it could prove to be dangerous if he let it get out of control.
