Y/N's P.O.V

I'm now at a local bar with Quentin. We're sat at the bar having a drink.

I can't stop thinking about is what Fury said to me before he left.

Quentin: Hey.

He puts his hand on my shoulder.

Quentin: You gotta celebrate. We did something good tonight.

Y/N: Yeah.

I sigh.

Y/N: Fury was right. Tony did alot for me, so I owe it to him. I owe it to everyone.

Quentin: Do you?

Y/N: Yeah, I mean he gave me a chance to be more by making me an Avenger. And now Fury just wants me to live up to him.

Quentin: What do you want? You, Y/N Drake. Now, what do you want? I know you're thinking about it.

I look to him.

Y/N: I just wanna go back home, alright? I wanna go home and be back with my girlfriend and my family. I just wanna be a normal guy for a little while.

He smiles.

Quentin: That sounds nice, but you're not gonna do that, are you?

Y/N: No, I can't.

Quentin: Why not?

Y/N: Because I have too much of a responsibility as Spider-Man.

I pull out the EDITH glasses and put them on the bar.

Quentin: Are those the EDITH glasses?

Y/N: Yeah, yeah. Tony left them for me in his will, along with a fabrication unit.

He nods.

Quentin: Alright, try 'em on. Let's see how they look on you.

Y/N: Yeah?

Quentin: Yeah.

I put them on.

Y/N: I actually really like 'em.

Quentin: Can I be completely honest with you?

Y/N: Of course.

Quentin: They look kinda stupid. Though maybe if you grew out some stubble they might suit you better.

I take them off.

Y/N: Okay, you try them on.

He tries to refuse, but eventually puts them on.

Beck looks at me with the glasses on.

Quentin: What do you think, kid?

He looks a bit like Tony with them on. The glasses are meant for him.

Beck should be the next Tony Stark, the next Iron-Man.

Y/N: "Next Tony Stark, I trust you." "For the next Tony Stark, I trust you."

Quentin: What?

Y/N: Tony left me a message with those glasses. "For the next Tony Stark, I trust you."

Quentin: I'm still not following.

Y/N: Tony knew every mistake I've ever made. So he must have known that even after everything I've done as a hero I was not ready for something like this.

Quentin: Then why give them to you?

Y/N: Because maybe he didn't trust me to have EDITH, maybe he trusted me to pick who should. It makes so much more sense, he always knew I'd do the the right thing. And he's not gonna give them to Fury because Fury would just give himself EDITH.
