The next morning after breakfast with Marco and the rest of his housemates, I went up to my room to shower and change.

Victoria's POV

Once Mara left the table and she was on her way over to the staff house, I got up from my seat across the yard and made my way over to the table.

I got to introduce myself to those who haven't met me already, Marco and Ter Stegen. The best part of it was that they thought I was a friend of Mara's

I ended up finishing my breakfast with them and they eventually decided upon heading back home.

I let them all go and as Marco made it halfway to his villa, I stopped him.

"Marco!" I yelled.

"Yeah, what's up?" He asked.

"Listen," I started. "I have something really serious to talk to you about. I didn't want to bring up anything in front of the guys," Marco just looked at me confused. "I know we just met, but at least you'll know this is true then."

I pulled out my phone and clicked on my gallery. Once the photos were pulled up I put my phone to my chest.

"What is it?" Marco asked.

"I know that you and Mara have a thing," I started and his face was washed with fear. "You don't have to worry about me telling the officials anything. But I care about what Mara does, and what she's doing to you is just wrong. I'm sorry to be the one that had to break this to you."

I turned my phone screen to face him and tried with all my might to hold back the smile forming on my face.

Marco was furious at the sight of his little fling and best friend kissing late last night when he was out of the picture.

"That's from last night," I spoke. "I saw her with Julian and Mario when I came out to get some air so I stayed around to see what would happen, and this was it."

I looked slightly to my right and saw Mara was coming out of the staff house. My cue to leave.

"I have to go catch the boat now," I said. "I was here yesterday, but I didn't get to meet you. It was nice to do so, good luck!" I smiled and patted his left arm before walking off towards the docks.

Mara's POV

About half an hour later when I came back outside to hang out, I found myself looking for Marco and when I did spot him, Victoria was standing right in front of him.

I looked at them quizzically as I approached the two. Victoria immediately started walking off towards the docks and I called out for her.

"Victoria!"

She simply smiled and waved goodbye.

Marco was standing in the same spot looking straight ahead, hands on his hips.

"Hey," I walked up to him. "What's wrong?"

He completely avoided me and muttered something under his breath before taking off.

I couldn't yell after to him, if I did everyone would turn and see.

I simply followed him to House Three, running a bit as he picked up his pace.

I followed him into the villa and he went straight for the stairs.

"Mario!" He yelled, anger more than evident in his voice.

"Marco!" I called for him as I followed. "What's going on? Marco!"

When we got to Mario's room, Marco went up to his best friend and pulled him off his bed.

"What the fuck, man?!" Mario yelled from the floor.

"Marco!" I tried to grab his arm, but he just pushed me away.

"Get up!" Marco ordered.

"Marco!" I yelled again and he finally turned to face me. "What's wrong with you?"

"Your friend showed me a photo of you two from last night," Marco simply spoke.

"Oh my," I started. "I can explain."

"Funny how you know exactly what I'm talking about," Marco chuckled. "I'm livid, Mara!"

"And you have all the right to be, but let me explain!"

"What the hell is he talking about?" Mario asks.

"Mario kissed me," I said.

"What?" Mario asks genuinely surprised.

"Is that supposed to make it any better?" Marco asked.

"Yes! I didn't kiss him back, I pushed him off of me right after. You know how drunk he was!" I argued.

"I thought I dreamt that," Mario stepped closer, then took a step back when Marco turned to face him.

"You stay away from her," Marco ordered Mario. "You kissed my girlfriend."

"Girlfriend?" Mario didn't believe it.

"Is that what Victoria was talking to you about?" I stepped closer. "She was the one watching us. Why was she here?"

"You didn't know she was here?" Marco asked.

"Who's Victoria?" Mario chimed in.

"Some girl that hates me," I answered Mario first. "And no, I didn't know she was here. She shouldn't be here anyway, she was the liaison for Ghana-"

"Why does she hate you? She said you were friends," Marco spoke.

"What a bitch," I laughed. "She wanted you guys as her team and I got you instead. She wanted to switch with me, but I refused. You can't trust her Marco."

"I didn't mean anything by it," Mario came over to my side of the room.

"Isn't that a cute couple?" Marco sneered.

"Tell him what I said," Mario urged me. "And don't talk to your best friend that way," he pointed a finger at Marco.

"H-he said he misses his ex and that he was sorry for always flirting with me because he knows that you like me," I spoke.

"If you knew then why'd you do it?" Marco asks Mario.

"I was drunk," Mario pleaded. "And I knew I wouldn't get any other chance. I forced myself on her, I swear to God, man, she pushed me off. I thought it was a dream, honestly."

Marco began to calm down.

"Why didn't you tell me this morning?" Marco asked.

"I didn't think it was a big deal, because look at how Mario forgot and the fact that he was drunk- because it didn't mean anything," I say.

"It didn't," Mario chimes in. "It was all my fault. I didn't know you two were dating, I wouldn't do that to you, Marco."

The room was silent.

"Let's go talk about this," I tried to get closer to Marco.

"No," he shook his head. "You've done enough."

With that said, Marco walked out of the room and I could feel my nose stinging and my eyes beginning to water.

"Don't say anything to anyone," I told Mario without looking at him.

"I won't," he whispered before I left his room.
