Being the only girl in a group of nine boys could be intimidating for some, but for AYU, it's like having a team of protective brothers—each bringing out a different side of her personality. Born on December 31, 2006, AYU is the youngest member of Zero Base One, and her lively, bright presence has woven her into the heart of the group. Despite the age gap with some of the members, she's effortlessly carved out her place, and each of the boys has their own special connection with her.

Jiwoong, being the oldest, naturally fell into the role of AYU's protective big brother. From the first day, he noticed AYU's hardworking spirit but also her habit of hiding her struggles. Jiwoong quickly became the one to spot when she's feeling down or overwhelmed, often nudging her to take a break or reminding her to eat. When AYU is in the kitchen, Jiwoong joins her, guiding her through recipes and sometimes gently scolding her if she messes up ("You're supposed to stir it, not beat it into submission, AYU!"). They've unofficially become the "parent duo" of the group, cooking meals for the other members together and making sure they eat well. The only rule in their kitchen? "Gyuvin, stay out. We don't want another fire incident." AYU teases Jiwoong, calling him her "not-so-cute oppa" and rolling her eyes whenever he claims to be the "visual chef" of the group.

Hanbin has a special bond with AYU, acting as her personal cheerleader. Whenever AYU feels insecure or doubts her abilities, Hanbin is there, hyping her up with endless positivity. They share a mutual understanding of what it's like to constantly strive for improvement. Hanbin has taken it upon himself to teach AYU the ropes of dance and performance, and AYU adores him for it, seeing him as a mentor and motivator. Hanbin even choreographed a mini-dance for the two of them to perform during fan meets, dubbing it "AYU & Bin's Special Stage." They're often seen practicing together, and AYU loves trying to copy Hanbin's signature moves—usually ending up laughing when she can't quite pull them off.
